  1. That sounds like such a hassle and a waste of time though
  2. Hello folks, I recently purchased a MacBook Pro. When I installed Logic on my Mac Mini I relocated the sound library to an external drive. How can I setup Logic on my laptop so that it also uses the same library from the external drive? Thank you!
  3. Thank you again. Learning a lot here!
  4. Thank you Dewdman42 for taking the time to explain all this! I'm a little confused as to why the latency will be higher when using a lower sample rate though. I assumed it would be the opposite.
  5. Maybe it's the plugin! I had somebody running the session for me as I was in the vocal room singing so he was probably at fault as well. At the end I just ended up tracking dry since we were short on time. I did some tests today playing electric guitar through a Line 6 Helix plugin and even though I felt no latency at some point I started getting cracks and pops which is very unusual
  6. Hey. I'm sorry but like I said I wasn't sure about the number and I that one came up off the top of my head when thinking about it
  7. Hello everyone, Hope everybody has had a great summer so far! A couple of days ago I started running into unexpected latency issues. I can't figure out what's the reason. My setup has stayed the same apart from some software updates. I usually set my buffer at 128 for tracking, but right now when setting the buffer at 128 I'm getting 7.4ms Roundtrip (3.9ms Output) for latency numbers. I don't remember exactly what was the number before that but I know it was lower somewhere in the mid to high 2s. Besides that I wouldn't hear any noticeable latency. Right now the latency it's just unbearable. Any thoughts on what could be causing the issue?
  8. These are wav files from a recording session that I downloaded to practice mixing. "Sounds like they are interleaved stereo audio files": I'm not 100% knowledgeable of the term, but after researching in other sources I'm almost 100% confident that that's what they are. I guess I should rewrite my question. How can I export split channel audio files into Logic and stop Logic from organizing the files as interleaved audio files? Thanks for the prompt reply!
  9. Hello everybody! I’m importing a 32 track session into Logic. For some reason, the panned mono files (OH L, OHR, RM L, RM R, etc) are being imported into Logic as a single stereo file and placed into a single stereo track. Also, as soon as come back to the folder in Finder, there are some newly created stereo files labeled as OH, RM, etc. How can I avoid this from happening? I want to replicate the session as close as possible to how it was sent to me. I've tried several workarounds but nothing has worked so far. Thanks in advance!
  10. Hello guys, I haven't been here in a while. I just want to stop by to show you my first independent release. I did all the tracking and editing myself in my home recording studio. I did hire a mixing and a mastering engineer but I'm already working on doing the mixing myself in the future. I would appreciate your feedback as I find it an invaluable learning tool. Thanks in advance and have a great week!
  11. Hello Eric, I'm sorry to getting back to you so late. I've been out of town. I saved a version of the project with the bare minimum and zipped it and the file it's still around 1.49GB Am I doing something wrong or is that the expected file size? If not, how do I strip everything out?
