Read through all the previous workarounds but nothing has worked yet.
I'm using a Macbook Pro new 2012 edition, with El Capitan.
I have Logic Pro X 12.2.4. and a Focusrite 2i4.
Never had this problem until this week.
I'm working with 7 tracks:
2 guitar, 1 bass, 1 vocal, 2 "drummer" tracks, and a loop "Egyptian Darbuka".
When I start the song the slider of the darbuka track jumps all the way to maximum. I move it down, and it jumps back up, like it has a rubber band on it. Occasionally, I'll move the vocal track fader and the Darbuka will move at the same time, same movement as the vocal, as if they were linked. But they are not. And it it usually doesn't do that. I disconnected the Focusrite and instruments from the Mac and it still does this. If I bring down the slider and it actually stays for some reason, then I stop the song with the space bar, the fader jumps back to the top again, apparently for the input movement of the stoping with space bar. It is very frustrating because I can't mix a damn thing without the darbuka being louder than everything else. Last week the bass track was doing this and i eventually opened a new bass track and deleted the old one. But there must be a simple, hidden answer.
i can't figure out how to upload a screen shot. So, when looking at the tracks, everything except for the Logic Pro "Drummer" tracks has a setting on the face that says "monophonic". I'm not really sure how or why that is there, but it is.
I would like to finish this damn song. I appreciate any help you can offer.
Lost in limbo!
