  1. Update. I managed to get the other tracks to stop bouncing back up by following your suggestion: 1. Press A, find automation that is visible on the tracks. What I now know is that automation is turned on for all tracks (bad if you only want it on one track), BUT...... the Bass track, with the automation, which I want, still jumps back to -1.9. It's out of control!!! It scares me!!! help!! I want to lower it to mix the rest of the tracks with it. It is quite high because it is just a small section for a bass solo. ideas? Grazie!
  2. Yep! For those with 'attachment issues", you have to click on "Full Editor and Preview" to see the attachment option. Thanks again. I hate ghosts!
  3. Well, yes, that worked. Now I usually do things that seem obvious, like a backup of data from previous day, etc, but I never thought that ONLY the drum track could go silent while the rest was there, requiring a restart of Logic to wake it up. Is that something others have complained about? Strange behavior I must say, but whatever caused it, who knows? I'm glad you were able to prompt me in the right direction! Kudos to you. Thanks a bunch. You were helpful, even if you don't think so! If you know why this happened, please let me know.
  4. I would like to but there is no "Add image" option here. Only the little one above that only allows you a "URL". Is there another way? i could send a screen shot directly to your email, but then others wouldn't be able to see it. But if that what it takes to get help, I'll do it! Thanks for answering. Ren
  5. Hi. Today I opened a tune I just finished yesterday and found that the song played without the drummer (So Cal). The track is there, as well as the signal, but silent. It is not muted. I can see no other boxes or settings that could be ticked or un-ticked. I then checked a different song that I recently worked on with a Midi drum track (Roland tdK11 through drum sims in Logic) In fact, ANY AND ALL of my drums in the 20 songs from the last 2 years on my Mac have silent drums now! Any ideas? This is really scary. Please let this be a dummy fix of clicking one little box!! 6. Read through all the previous workarounds but nothing has worked yet. I'm using a Macbook Pro new 2012 edition, with El Capitan. I have Logic Pro X 12.2.4. and a Focusrite 2i4. Never had this problem until this week. I'm working with 7 tracks: 2 guitar, 1 bass, 1 vocal, 2 "drummer" tracks, and a loop "Egyptian Darbuka". When I start the song the slider of the darbuka track jumps all the way to maximum. I move it down, and it jumps back up, like it has a rubber band on it. Occasionally, I'll move the vocal track fader and the Darbuka will move at the same time, same movement as the vocal, as if they were linked. But they are not. And it it usually doesn't do that. I disconnected the Focusrite and instruments from the Mac and it still does this. If I bring down the slider and it actually stays for some reason, then I stop the song with the space bar, the fader jumps back to the top again, apparently for the input movement of the stoping with space bar. It is very frustrating because I can't mix a damn thing without the darbuka being louder than everything else. Last week the bass track was doing this and i eventually opened a new bass track and deleted the old one. But there must be a simple, hidden answer. i can't figure out how to upload a screen shot. So, when looking at the tracks, everything except for the Logic Pro "Drummer" tracks has a setting on the face that says "monophonic". I'm not really sure how or why that is there, but it is. I would like to finish this damn song. I appreciate any help you can offer. Lost in limbo! Ren
  7. Hi. I upgraded to 10.2, and when the download alerted me that there was already a folder named "Logic Pro", I changed the 10.0 name to "Logic Pro 10.0", then downloaded 10.2. So, long story short, of course 10.2 doesn't have all my sound files, loops, etc. When I open the 10.0, they are there. I go to "Applications - Library - Audio - and I see Apple loops, Apple Loops index, Midi, etc. I cannot identify that those are the old or new ones. There is only one version of them. The same when I go to (Library - Application Support - Logic), where I find Alchemy Samples, Channel Strip, Drummer, EXS Factory Samples, etc. Is there a way to locate and get all the library sound files from 10.0 to 10.2? I have all this on my MacBook Pro, not on an external drive. That will be my next step. The files took months to download before and I would like to avoid downloading them all again. Thanks. I have FAITH in this community!! Ren
