  1. Click and hold doesn't work for me, but using the mixer in "All" view does the trick.
  2. I used to be able to click on Klopfgeist in the Environment's Mixer Layer on the Click track in order to load a different plugin and thus change the click sound (for instance, I'd load a Kontakt instrument of my own click). For some reason, now, nothing happens when I click on Klopfgeist to bring up that menu. If I double click, the plug-in itself opens like usual, but single clicking does nothing. Any ideas? Am I missing something? I tried it in Logic 10.3.0, 10.3.1, and 10.3.3. Thanks for your time and any help.
  3. Is it possible to edit the code of a user-created .patch file? The patches are Kontakt instruments, and I need to remove host automation in bulk. If there's a way to just modify 1 line in the file and resave it without having to open Logic, that'd be sweet. Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi there, Is it possible to tell Logic not to append numbers (like "#01") to the end of file names? When I print internally, I have my own system for file naming and to keep it consistent, I have to remove the #01. Maybe there's a setting I'm missing. Thanks if you can help.
  5. Haha thanks for the advice... I have set up the extra ports using the "Event Input" plugin. I have since redone my Logic template from scratch and everything works as expected. It'll forever be a mystery to me what happened and how something changed, but I emailed the folks at Vienna and they mentioned that Logic's environment sometimes changes things on its own?!
  6. Hi, I posted this on Apple's Logic support forums, too, just in case. I can't hear the instrument that I'm playing with my MIDI keyboard while playback is running, even though Logic shows it is receiving MIDI data. When I stop playback, I can play the instrument just fine. I'm using Vienna Ensemble Pro 6.0.15567 with Logic 10.3.1. It only happens on ports 2-4 of one of my instances. The other instances are fine. It is also not library or player engine specific. Any ideas?
  7. I use RightZoom, which changes the behavior of the green button in the top left, and Symbolic Linker. However, I have all the same apps installed on my MacBook Pro, and I don't have any issues with Alchemy there. I used Migration Assistant to bring apps and settings over to the tower.
  8. Any idea how to fix this? And I have to right click the "Factory Default" dropdown menu for it to stay open. If I left click it, it appears for a split second and then disappears. I am able to navigate through patches using [ and ] as you normally would and the name changes where it says "Default," but when I click that dropdown menu, it is long and blank. I can still modify the synth as you would by turning knobs and moving faders, etc. Thanks if you can help. I've tried reinstalling Logic Pro X as well as reinstalling the sound library, to no avail. I've attached a screenshot.
  9. Hi there, When I change the buffer size, Logic reloads all the samples I have loaded in the session. Depending on the size of the session, this can take a very long time and interrupts my workflow. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Thanks if you can help! Logic Pro 10.2.4 MacBook Pro OS 10.11.6
  10. Hi all, Loading large instruments into Logic causes my interface and external hard drive to reset. The interface loses its USB sync and logic informs me that the number of available MIDI ports is now 0 instead of 1. And the computer tells me that my external hard drive was not disconnected properly (without ejecting). Some semi-large samples that load successfully cause my MacBook Pro to freeze (pinwheel of death) when I try to play them. My interface, a brand new Presonus AudioBox 44VSL, and drive, a Touro S, are connected via a 4-port powered USB hub. Here's how I've narrowed it down so far: - load same large samples into REAPER on my Windows machine: OK - load small samples from a variety of AU engines on my MacBook Pro in Logic: OK - load large samples from 2 different AU engines on my MacBook Pro in Logic: problems as explained above Any ideas?
