  1. Thanks for the long reply! I've figured out what caused it by now: using articulation sets to access different midi channels, but ALSO changing the final output (3rd tab in articulation sets options). The latter wasn't even necessary, so if anyone bumps into this when using multiple MIDI channel instruments, just configure only the middle tab (articulation sets) and not the right tab (output) in the articulation editor.
  2. *bump* Nobody? It could be related to me starting to use articulation sets recently... :/
  3. Heya, I've been working with Logic for years, but recently all my note velocity, expression, modulation graphs seem to all have multiple channels somehow, and they appear out of nowhere as far as I'm concerned. Why do I now have multiple note velocity channels (see attached image)? Did this happen due to some recent change in Logic..? I'd like to just have 1 omni channel if possible... what is going on? Thanks for your time! PS Im running on 10.4.1 on Sierra. Edit: added another screenshot... this is getting out of hand...
  4. Its shift, sorry. It's called "Paste at original position"
  5. Heya, I typically have songs with a lot of different pieces, some gentle and soft, some harsh and loud. To get some compression on all these pieces, I typically automate all 4 thresholds (of multipressor) on the stereo out track. This is actually a bit painful though, since I automate all 4 of them in more or less the same way. Does anybody here also do this, or have tips for doing this better? Thanks in advance!
  6. Thanks so much for your help. I now know I just had to find another DAW. I was originally told that Logic's MIDI was as good as Cubase, DP, or REAPER so I wanted to see. I'm sorry to find out that's not the case. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Honestly, I echo this. Not that Logic is perfect, but your missing feature is something I typically do in 1 second: copy(cmd c), paste in place (cmd opt v), drag edges. Done.
  7. Heya, I'm not very familiar with working with actual audio, and yesterday I've recorded 2 mic positions for a cello part. Working with take tracks works very nice, but now I have 2 take tracks that both need to be "linked". Is this possible? (i.o.w., if you sweep take 1 from the first mic, you want take 1 from the second mic too) Thanks a lot!
  8. I only have half these note attritubutes... is there an "advanced user" setting somewhere I'm supposed to enable first?
  9. Wait I can't find the first option in functions -> voicing at all..?
  10. Heya, I'm trying to make a piece of sheet music from a recording I did, but some of the notes should actually be in in the left-hand track (see attachement). Is there a way to force this, because Logic wants to do it all automatically... Thanks
  11. Thanks a lot, that works! It does however select a bunch of other notes that are not chords.. Is there a way to first select some chords, and then use a modifier key with (shift+arrow up) to combine the selections? PS: I found one way to do this, that is to make locators surround your group of chords, and then press SHIFT+UP, then delect outside locators (no shortcut by default) ... this is rather complicated though
  12. Hi all, I'm working with a guitar library that has pre-recorded power chords. I imported the song I wrote as midi, meaning that my imported midi data contains a lot of "extra" notes, since I only need the root note of every power chord. I've been manually selecting these extra top-notes... but it's a pain in the neck. (see picture) Is there any clever way of automating this? Bram
  13. Yes I seem to be able to do that... I've pretty much tried everything now. I'm not quite sure, but I think I should try and just reinstall everything :/
