  1. Yep, loading in an Aux channel, I select the NYC Comp and nada, no plugs appear, at first I thought it may be that the plugs aren't standards but obviously that is not the case as it's working for others...I'll keep fiddling...cheers, Graham
  2. For some reason when I do this no plugs load when NYC is selected as an AUX channel strip setting. Any ideas why? Very odd because I did the same with Dave's Octaviser and it worked fine? I totally want to check out this technique too...any help would be appreciated...cheers, Graham ps - it's in the standard library-->application support-->Logic-->channel strip settings---> AUX folder...
  3. Hi Dave, I realise that Bill is a busy guy, this was more an attempt to get a dialogue going with others that may agree that it would be really nice to see a bit of Logic's efforts alocated to facilitating a community. Things like that dnb demo just get me very interested, but for those of us in say Toronto, Canada, LA is a bit of a trek. I'll re-read the thread but I think it's a pretty complex technique he was using and though I got the jist of it, i think seeing it and being able to review something like that via dvd or whatever would be invaluable. In a sense this is an opportunity to for Apple to make money, if they made high quality DVD demo's available in a number of genres, dnb, house, rock, whatever, I think their customer base would be interested, I know I would be. Cheers, Graham
  4. Hi everyone, I'm sure I'm not the only electronic producer in this and other Logic forums to read about last weeks presentation/meeting all the while green with envy. What I would love to see is Logic and Logics' developers showing all Logic users these potentially invaluable tutorials on producing with Logic. I'm referring specifically to the apparently amazingly cool (at least it sounded extremely cool) demo done by Bill Burgess. Well I'd love to see this, it would be awesome if Logic followed suit from other DAW platforms and opened up a bit more. What I mean is how great would it be if these types of demo's were available via download online from the Logic site or sites like this one. I think some would even pay for this type of thing though I don't think that's really in the spirit of facilitating a community, however if it came to that I'd probably give in. Anyways, this demo really caught my eye, I'm very interested in learning how to produce boundary pushing drum and bass and knowing that one of the developers is doing this but we don't know how without a lot of trial and error is killing me. Anyways, just a thought as I for one thing showing techniquest like this would bring the company much closer to it's customers and vice versa. Cheers, Graham
  5. glad you guys like, yeah, it's definitely true that all the fun comes with the release of the note, try putting it through a guitar amp, sounds great that way too, but watch out, it can get a bit out of hand . Cheers, Graham
  6. This is just something I made a couple of minutes ago, been fooling around this evening trying to get some nice new sound fx for my new track. Give this one a try. As a note, I just do a quick note on and release for the effect that the title suggests...also if you hold for a while be prepared because it can get a bit out of control...ie, you may want to turn your monitors down. Enjoy! I hope to see this forum area pick up in the near future, this would be a great way for all of us to learn a thing or two. Lord knows I could use it cheers, Graham Cyber Loon 01.cst.zip Place in ~/Library/Application Support/Logic/Channel Strip Settings/Instrument/
  7. Ok, I just got it all sorted out David, thank you so much for you patience, this is an amazing way of working with parameters it's like Logic has just been reborn to me!!! I think you'll be getting all my days points for this one , cheers, Graham PS - I'm been meaning to tell the design of this sight is totally slick, good on you!
  8. Thanks for the reply but my problem starts with the fact that nothing was assigned by default to Command + L so I need to know what the exact name of the key command is that I should be assigning this to before I can do anything else...I'm unsure what the Controller Assignment window looks like is the thing. thanks in advance, graham
  9. Hi David, I wish it were as simple as the way you've outlined it above, as that would be exactly what I want Logic to be doing. For me this is what is happening. First, no key command is assigned to Command + L, could you please tell me what the actual function is called in the Key Command window. Should Command + L be opening the Automation window in Preferences, when I type in Automation I'm inundated with options, i"m just hoping you can shed some light on what the literal wording in the Logic Key Commands section is that you would have us assign Command + L to. Second, BIG problem that I and a few others at least have made note of (and I've sent Logic feedback on this already to no avail so far). I"m in Logic 7.1 Pro bye the way, and when I click Learn, then move the knob I'd like to assign to a contoller on my Radium 61, as soon as I've moved the controller, Logic says that the know has been Learned however, all midi in/out from my radium 61 ceases to function. Learning in the ES2 withing the plugin's face works no problem and doesn't have this effect but whenever i"m trying to use Quick Access Learning this occurs, rendering the option of assigning any knob to a CC totally unuable. Any ideas? Have you encountered this yourself? Thanks in Advance, Graham
