  1. No need to answer the question. I managed to solve it as I was comparing the differences between previous projects and new ones. The Output section on the channel strip was set to no output. I am not sure why this suddenly changed just like that. Thanks for taking the time to read. Paul.
  2. Hi, I am a voiceover artist and have been using Logic for nearly a year. Two days ago I recorded a project and cannot hear the project through playback once recorded. I exported the track raw to another DAW and could hear it properly through that. I can see through metering on logic that there is a waveform and everything has been picked up, I just cannot hear anything when pressing play. There is no muting, other tracks recorded prior to two days ago all work fine with sound, I have disabled and re-enabled core audio in settings. It's just that no new projects generate any sound in playback. I have no idea how to fix it. I am on version 10.2.4 Does anyone have an idea of what may be going on? Many Thanks for your help, Paul.
  3. Hey Niteboater, Thanks for the post. In terms of noise floor I am fine, as I have a relatively low one. Ensuring that RMS sits between -23 and -18 and peak of -3db is the key thing, as the book will be rejected otherwise. O you have any leads on this aspect? Thanks for reaching out, Paul.
  4. Hi, I am about to start production on an audiobook for Audible. Among other requirements of the sound file, they specify that each audio file (chapter) must measure between -23dB and -18dB RMS and have -3 dB peak values and a maximum -60dB noise floor. My space is -55dB noise floor. How do I pre set the parameters in Logic before recording in order that I meet these requirements with each chapter of the book that I record? My version of Logic is 10.2.4. Many Thanks for reading this, Paul.
  5. Hey Atlas, I have not tried bouncing. I have never done it before, but roughly know how to do it. As for the bypass effects plug ins that is always left unticked. So Im not sure why it has started to happen when it has not before. I will try bouncing and let you know how it goes. (:
  6. Hi, I am a voiceover artist and use Logic Pro X in audio mode. This issue has not normally been a problem for me, but the audio fx (noise gate, compression, equalisation) that I apply to a track once recorded have started to not be saved in the final exported track. The first time it happened I switched to using sends and different bus for the effects, which seemed to solve the issue. I have just recorded a track and neither method that I have used (1) the audio fx strips on the actual file itself or (2) sends are working. I have searched online for the source of the problem, and am getting nowhere. I can't / won't send audio out without the audio fx as I am pitching for voiceover work and the end client usually wants to hear it similar to what the end result, even if it's a demo. I am relatively new to logic pro x. I am on 10.2.4 and run a mac on Yosemite 10.10.5 Thanks for taking the time to read and reply, Paul.
