  1. I'm composing a piano piece and trying to understand how to get the Score Editor to reflect what is on the piano roll. For example, in my right hand I might hold semibreves with 2 fingers, with a 3rd finger playing quavers. This is evident on the Score Editor. But when I look at this on the score, the semibreves only show as an initial quaver. It doesn't seem to be recognising the individual parts / voices in one hand. How can I achieve this? Thanks.
  2. Hi folks, My piano playing isn't the best. As such I'm playing both parts in with separate hands but the velocity of individual notes in chords e.t.c. is all over the place. The piano is only accompaniment and I'm wondering if I can fix velocity, by region, according to the dynamic marking in the score ... maybe 60 for mp e.t.c. What is the fastest way of doing this (bearing in mind I'll need a few crescendo / diminuendo) too? Will this sound realistic enough? I don't want random velocity obviously but not for it to sounds computer-generated either!
  3. Looking into this further, it looks like all the files with '+' are the duplicated ones. The '+' ones appear to have a slightly larger file size so would it be advisable to delete the earlier ones, and is there a safe way to do this?
  4. I seem to have a lot of duplicate Logic sound files / patches. Can somebody tell me how to deal with this as it's taking up a fair chunk of storage? Thanks.
  5. If I try to save a patch from a pre-existing software instrument channel strip, nothing happens. But if I create a new software instrument channel strip, I can save a patch from that, so I'm assuming the problem lies somewhere within the channel strips which were already in my template.
  6. Yep. I've just added a few new software channels and they are working ... so it looks as though the problem lies with the pre-existing ones for whatever reason ...
  7. Just says Save As - not Save Patch As No the patch doesn't appear anywhere in the library User patches folder stays selected throughout
  8. Is there any way to delete the patches folder and start again (so to speak)?
  9. Saving channel strip settings is working just fine - as you say, they pop up straight away ... just not patches
  10. Yep, only one there from yesterday's efforts. Can't put my finger on what might have changed. As far as I can remember I'm using exactly the same process as I did yesterday ...
  11. Selected the channel strip, then used the save button (bottom right of library window), then Save As in Music/AudioMusicApps/Patches/Instruments
  12. Hi David, As far as I can tell, I'm doing the things you suggest. The channel strip is that of a software instrument? The name Solo Vox is the name I saved it as via the library save patch function. It shows, under the icon, as Solo Vox.patch but the file is nowhere to be found ...
  13. Currently working on some new templates. Yesterday I saved some custom patches via the save button in the library which worked great. I can open the patches today with no problems. Today when I try to save new patches, it isn't working. My chosen patch name shows in place of the setting button (in the mixer and in the inspector next to the blue arrow), but that is all. I've looked in the Patches/Instrument folder where the previous custom patches are located but nothing. I've also tried to refresh the library ... Can anyone help with this?
