I haven't tried to record drummer tracks since they upgraded to add percussionists. Here are the issues I had tonight. Nothing in setup has changed except drummer update. 1. I used to be able to play drummer track while recording other tracks. Now it says I have to create a new recordable drummer track. I'm sure this was added to cut back on CPU usage, but it is a pain. 2. I try to record and I get an audio and midi sync warning and the sound is distorted and garbled. 3. Have no issues with recording when drummer track is deleted. Basically add drummer and I can't record. Everything set to 44.1

Last night I recorded, all was well. Early this AM, same thing. Now just a few minutes ago I recorded and when I went to undo, the undo button was greyed out. I went to delete the track, hit delete, nothing happens. Created a new track, recorded, same issue as above. Undo and delete not working. Any ideas? All was well a couple of hours ago.

I have an old Alexis Qs8 keyboard and it has numerous presets such as; piano, synths, etc. Is there a way for me to transfer these programs into Logic so I could use the various samples on any keyboard; in case my old keyboard ever dies? I am aware of the EXS sampler, but I have no idea where I would locate the samples from the Alexis to import them. Any ideas? Thanks

Yes., as I mentioned in my post I checked purchased to see if there was an update bar. There is nothing.

I went to use my Logic remote on my iPad and it no longer works says I need upgrade. Went to App Store on my Mac and hit the update button for 10.3 The little wheel in upper left hand corner spins and spins and nothing happens. I checked purchased to see if there is an update bar, nothing! Is it App Store? Is it me? The fact that my remote just no longer works is extremely frustrating. How can I update? Help!

David, again, thanks for everything yesterday. To day, fingers crossed, all is up and running. A-H has a DAW control download, which, once downloaded you follow the steps and it sets up everything in Logic, faders, transports, everything. The manual says the transport buttons are MMC not CC. "The MMC Transport control message will be specific to de- vices set to that MIDI channel." What do I have to do to get Logic X to read an MMC if at all possible?

Somehow one of the key commands clicked on tapehead and it was waiting for the command so everything was frozen until that happened. When I noticed the command was tapehead I deleted it and everything freed up. Will check with A-H thanks so much David

Thanks David. I did as you said and when I press the transport buttons it is showing midi activity. X 2 0 0 This is what was showing up earlier. The board is sending midi messages because I was able to program the faders. For some reason something isn't happening with the transport buttons. Do be clear: You are supposed to click what you want done in Logic, so for faders I move a fader in Logic then I moved the corresponding fader on the board, all set. Not with transports. I saw a video online to do it through the key commands one at a time: play, then stop, etc. but that didn't work either. Just now very weird stuff happening. At top in LCD right under the time elapsed for the song, I guess it's the tapehead location numbers, it is flashing negative 7 3 4 71 then switches very quickly 8 2 something can't read it all and tape head doesn't move by playing, recording, or clicking. Also,in the controller assignment section it highlights no zone. When I click on another zone, such as pan or faders it flashes and reverts back to no zone. I also cannot access easy view. This is all new just now.

I am using iMac, 10.10.5 with Logic X and an Allen-Heath ZedR16 digital mixer. I was able to assign the mixer's faders to control Logic's faders. When I went to do the same thing with the transport controls: stop, play, record the learn assignment box said no message. I tried to do it as key commands and as midi controller assignments. I know it should be do function in Logic, repeat function on board, save, but no luck any suggestions?

I have Logic Pro X Mac 10.10.5 Yosemite Presonus firestudio I record an alchemy track from the art sequencer. I have armed a software track. The track records, though I don't see the recording until it's finished. 1. It only plays from the beginning, will not make a sound if I start at any other point of the recording. 2. When I hit cycle for the region it plays through with sound then repeats through without sound thereafter. 3. When I hit the loop box or copy and paste an additional section the new sections sound different as if they have gone up an octave. 4. When I look in the piano roll there are notes for only one section, the rest is blank. There is no prob with my midi controller, works fine on everything else. No problem with plugins or apple plugins, all else works fine. Only Alchemy. How do I record and duplicate sections with Alchemy, cannot find the answer in help or online. Thanks
