  1. $49 is pushing it, I'd settle for $53.50 Remember these people have got to eat.
  2. This makes me happy I switched to Ableton Live 6 months ago. Live has had "Flex" technology from the beginning, and the ES2 stills sounds like cardboard.
  3. Ay, indeed the Tape Delay is the only plugin I truly miss now that I've gone over to Live. Lol. Good sounds, btw.
  4. Heh, if it's on the master out, then the minute delay isn't gonna change anything, much like the delay your limiter also probably induces And yes, distortions can be very good mastering effects. I have a mate who swears by Live's Saturator (another distortion effect) to polish off his tracks, whereas I generally use Logic compressor's soft distortion algorithm. Well, either that or Ohm Force's Ohmicide
  5. Ouch. I was using one a while ago in 7, so now I'm even happier I flogged it
  6. This should get you sorted: http://samsontech.com/products/productFAQs.cfm?prodID=1810&brandID=2 Regards
  7. The manual has some very good tutorials, otherwise try macprovideo.
  8. Right, now all I need are some lyrics... Hmpf.
  9. Are you ready to delve into the environment?
  10. – To prevent Live slaving to Logic, open it up first and then Logic, not the other way round. – To use Logic's effects in Live, the same principles follow as in my tutorial. Just send the audio from Live over Soundflower, mess it up in Logic, and then send it back again.
  11. Here's a link to an article on my bloggy, a step by step guide to using Live's effects in Logic. http://www.gig-in-a-box.com/thelogician/WebLog/Entries/2008/8/16_Using_Live’s_effects_in_Logic.html (copy and paste the link, as clicking doesn't seem to be working...) Otherwise, you can create modular Beat-Repeat-esque effects chains in Logic using Ultrabeat and Delay Designer, or if you're looking for something rrreeeeaaaaaallly easy, check out Audio Damage Replicant. It's cheap and powerful—not a function for function clone of Beat Repeat, but still pretty close. Enjoy.
  12. Logic runs very stable here. My only crashes of late have been when using recently released 3rd party plugs, and it's to the publishers of those 3rd party plugs that I've been sending my reports. I'm more interested at this stage in seeing new features
  13. Yeah renicing isn't going to do jack. I've got a far lesser machine than yours (MacBook 2.16GHz w/2GB RAM), yet I'm able to run a lot more than you claim to be able to. -Have you updated to the latest versions of Leopard (—.4) and Logic (—.0.2)? -Are you running any other processes in parallel? (I'm assuming you are, if you're renicing stuff) -Have you tried playing around with your sample rate/buffer size settings? -Is your Airport on? -Have you rebooted lately? -Repaired permissions? -Sacrificed a goat? -What synths/effects are you using? All the best...
  14. Upload that patch so we can take it apart?
