  1. Okay, so not going nuts, but I could use advice on a solution. From the EXS24 manual PDF: "Update Selected Zones info From Audio File" This is what I'm looking for - can Sampler do this? Has the function been renamed? Thanks!
  2. I seem to remember in EXS24 that you could load "sample parameters" from the WAV file in case they happened to get out of sync between exs24 and the file itself. I'm pretty sure I'm not explaining it well, so here's another try: It seems to me that in Sampler, you can program the sample start and loop points for a sample in a zone. Those changes you apply *could* get out of sync from what originally was programmed in the WAV file - for both start point and loop points. What I seem to remember in EXS24 was that you could "reload" those parameters from the WAV file again from a menu within EXS24, but I'll be damned if I can find it. Or, it's also possible that this is a function within Kontakt only, and I'm mixing things up. So, am I crazy, or forgetful, or confused, or all of the above. Thanks for any guidance.
  3. Noted - still, very cool you highlighted it. I'm *slowly* making the transition from EXS24 to Sampler, as I have a few libraries in the "in box" that I'll start working on shortly.
  4. This is cool - I did not know this feature existed, even though I've developed tons of stuff for EXS24. That's what these forums are for, indeed - thank you for posting this.
  5. Oooh. This is frightening. I've got most of my gack in a storage unit while I'm traveling - including a Studio Live mixer. It will be a bummer if it no longer works, but it seems I need to get my head around that.
  6. That's a good question - from what I the OP describing and what I see in the screenshot, it feels like you might want "Mod Wheel" in the source column and "LFO Rate" in the target column. "Via" should be set t' "--".
  7. Agreed - if there is filtering involved (Vel > Filter, Vel > Env > Filter Amount), or velocity switches within the target synth, then go for multiple velocities. If not, @Des99 is 100% correct, it's a fruitless endevour. I usually sample on minor 3rds with 4-7 velocities for our big instruments, otherwise, I rely on the reasonable power of Sampler and it's filters, etc. do make the sound dynamic and pleasing to the end user. Good luck!
  8. Yes indeed! Thank you. Getting a clue and a well-deserved kick in the pants always helps!
  9. OK - I admit it, I'm a big dummy. Which folder does this go into? LOL.
  10. This is great - thank you for the effort in putting it together!
  11. I realize this is 6 years later, but @Monosock, what sort of clean sounds were you looking for - sustained tones?
  12. I had luck downloading them from the original link today, for all those following.
  13. There are a few possibilities that could be the cause of distortion in the EXS24 signal flow. 1) "Boost" in the filter 2) Overall volume on the main page 3) Individual sample volumes in the map page There are other potential sources as well. What would be helpful would be to know: 1) How you are "importing"? 2) What are you importing from? Screen shots of the imported map and instrument editor that are distorted. Look forward to helping ...
  14. Yeah, Dexed is really good. For covering the base of original FM hardware it does the trick and I use it a lot - especially with the 20,000+ DX7 sounds I have. For advanced FM, I still go to the FS1r or FM8. Both are remoarkable, IMO.
