  1. Sounds good david! I ordered your book from amazon, expecting it to arrive today; hopefully it solves most of my issues! Much appreciated!
  2. Lol thanks Eric. I knew it was gonna be something stupidly simple. Hopefully I don't ask too many silly questions like this. I'll get the hang of it eventually; it's just gonna take some time.
  3. Hey guys, My cat ran across my keyboard last night and managed to pop some things up. I managed to get rid of everything random except for this random "stereo out channel" showing in my track list. I'm new to logic and I'm sure this is an easy fix that'll make me feel dumb haha. Any idea on how to remove it from the track list? It doesn't effect my mix at all but I'd like it to be tucked away on the mixer not the track list. Thanks!
  4. Hey guys, I'm building a home studio now and I'm looking for a reasonably priced desk for recording. Im looking for something with rack mounts and something that is able to hold a 27" iMac with monitors. Any opinion on this subject would be awesome! Thanks, Newf
  5. Hey guys, While my iMac is pending shipping, I'm curious as to whether or not my `Yamaha THR100H' head will be compatible with Logic? I have not been able to get any insight anywhere else. The back of the head looks to have a fire wire input; I've attached a picture. The only piece of information being remotely close to my question is from the Yamaha website (snapshot attached below) stating it connects to a computer but it only speaks of delay configurations; therefore, I'm feeling sceptical. I'm just trying to get some insight. I don't want to buy an interface right away if my head will suffice. Thanks,
  6. Hey guys, Thanks for the advice! I ended up getting 1TB flash and 16gb ram. I'm comfortable with that decision due to the RAM being upgradable. Thank you for your support, I'm sure with my new purchase I'll be visiting this forum frequently trying to gather as much information as I can. Take care
  7. Forgive me, for I am new to this page and this forum. A friend recommended me to ask for some help on this forum, stating that all my questions can be answered here. After 10 years of playing guitar and knowing the basics of most instruments, I am now ready to start my journey into recording. My goal is to create a studio, learn how to record properly and effectively, and eventually start recording artists. I've built an iMac online to the specifications which I feel will be suitable for my needs due to some quick research. Attached is a picture of the specifications I selected. I'm curious as to wether 32gb RAM is too much for what I need? I want to be able to do orchestral compositions along with my band. Would I be better off getting 1TB flash storage and sacrificing 16gb RAM? Or is 512gb enough internal storage? people tell me it's possible to be overkill but if I'm spending the cash why limit myself right? Any insight will be helpful. Thank you, Kirk Wells
