  1. They like to torture us that way. Meanwhile, have you submitted this as a Feature Request? I have. Yep i submitted. It ALMOST makes me consider going back to cubase pro as the work flow is so fast intuitive and creative regarding song structuring that you get more done. And that is always one of the goals. Rather than having slower unitintivue work flows that hamper creativity.
  2. Thanks so I guess there's no advantage one way or the other it's just preference. I think I will incorporate turning off tracks as opposed to vsts then when I need to as as least that way I can see more clearly straight away what I've got turned off to save cpu. if that makes sense
  3. 'marker playlists arrangement', whereby you structure a song using markers and then have a column list of said markers on the side of the page where you can rearrange and try verses in different places, and this is all reflected in the main arrangement page. Most other DAWs do. Its so useful to song structuring, I just don't get why its not here?
  4. I'm really surprised Logic does not yet have 'playlists arrangement' features yet, whereby you structure a song using markers and then you have a column list of said markers on the side of the page where you can rearrange and try verses in different places and this is all reflected ted in the main arrangement page. Most other DAWs do. Its so useful to song structuring, I just don't get why its not here?
  5. Hi can anyone tell me what differences there would be in turning a track off as opposed to instead turning an instrument in said track off in the channel inspector regarding cpu and anything else of significance|? Thanks T
  6. The work around that I have found is to quit logic, reopen and then 'convert to sampler track' again, and then it works with the right timing. Obviously a pain though.
  7. Oh man sorry David I just realised what the problem was - there was a compressor on the channel strip that was preventing me from hearing the panning ! It was working all along - - human error -ugh I just spent two hours on this, but at least I know now - sorry for wasted time reading this.
  8. So I saved the instrument in the mono esx24 and created a new esx24 sample stereo track and imported this instrument, and low and behold I had the ability to be able to pan each individual notes. But what a long winded work flow. Why does logic create a mono esx24 instrument track as opposed to a stereo one when converting audio to midi this way?
  9. After reading the manual again and finally working it out - it seems that you cannot pan midi notes if the esx24 is in mono as opposed to stereo. But I don't get why logic automatically opened the 'convert audio to esx24 sample' as a mono file as opposed to stereo like the original audio file?
  10. Hi, how do I get panning to work in an audio sample that I have sliced and mapped to exs24. All the other parameters work, but pan has no effect on the individual midi notes? I have checked the box control 7/10 controls volume / pan etc in project settings.
  11. There are two types of automations: TBA (Track Based Automation) or RBA (Region Based Automation), which automation lanes will be displayed on the tracks area, using the track header automation button to toggle between them. It seems that TBA has to be converted into RBA in order to be saved in an Apple Loop. There are commands specifically for that purpose in the main menu>Mix>Convert Automation>... Ahh! amazing thanks very much ! Logic is so awesome I love it@!
  12. How do you mean 'switch back to region automation '? I pressed A to look at the automation track and there was no info on it?
  13. Ah ok. So that would mean the automation gets baked into the file as opposed to retaining the ability to be able to tweak the automation when using the Apple loop later?
  14. Hi Eric Yes it's region automation. Does this not get saved too ?
