  1. Thanks Atlas, I'll try it and see. I found another workaround which was to copy all the regions (without automation - making sure that option is turned on) and then delete the track entirely (having saved the settings). Then call up a new track and paste the regions back in. It solves the problem, but obvs it'd be good if it wasn't happening in the first place. Maybe the hack will work for that. Thanks again.
  2. Hi, I've run into automation problems and I've seen many similar threads but none of them hold the answer to the problem I've got. There's region automation on some of my tracks but no matter what I do (and I think I've tried everything) It won't delete and it's affecting the fader level on the mixer. Even with all track & region automation turned off, the fader reverts to this level whenever the music is stopped and starts again. I've found the greyed out automation point in the region. Whenever I try to delete it, it just comes straight back. I've found it in the event list (although the way it appears is entirely weird) and I delete it from the list, but then it just comes straight back again. It's driving me steadily nuts! I've only started having this problem recently, so I'm hoping it's just something I can toggle off, which would also explain why it's suddenly started happening. I've attached a screenshot to show the location - it's shown as a white automation line on the region on the 70s Classic synth Bass track. I've tried deleting it with the automation selector tool, but it stays there greyed out and just comes back again when you click on the region. I've deleted it in the event list (also notice how no parameters are selected yet there it is!) but again when you select it in the list and press delete it just goes to greyed out and comes back when you click on the region again. I've also tried Mix>Delete all automation on selected track - and that does nothing. Also when I remove ALL the regions off that track it still reverts to the same volume. Even with all the automation turned off. I've also tried disconnecting my midi keyboard and it still happens. Is it a bug? Am I missing something? Any suggestions gratefully received!
  3. Hi, looking for some help with the problems I'm running into ... I'm trying to use my M-Audio Ex-P pedal as a wah pedal (either on the pedalboard or directly into the Clav instrument in Logic). It's connected to the volume pedal input on my Keystation 88 keyboard. I've assigned it using the Learn window, and although that's quite confusing, I have got it to work as desired. But never for very long. After a short while, the sound/ volume disappears from the instrument and I find I have to reload it. Has anyone run into this problem before and found a fix? I've got a feeling it might be to do with the fact that the pedal has to be plugged into the volume controller port on the keystation...if Logic is getting conflicting messages I'll need to reassign the midi controller numbers. It can't be done on the keyboard itself (I've checked) but maybe it can be done in Logic. Could someone give a simple step by step walkthrough for that? (if that is indeed the problem!) Many thanks.
