  1. It was the sound card. With the new one it works. Thank you again for helping me to find the way to figure it out. Best!
  2. It doesn't work. I've tried with different inputs and it`s always the same, the sound is passing through the sound card without volumen control. I'm going to try with another sound card just in case is a hardware problem. Thank you for your time and help, I really aprecia it.
  3. MIDI SETTING: Sound card out-------in keyboard Sound card in --------out keyboard Keyboard thru--------- in synth module SOUND SETTING: Synth stereo out-------in mixer console mixer console stereo out-------in sound card (inputs 3 and 4)
  4. Thank you very much; yeah I did it, stereo output. It seems like if the sound is passing by through the sound card directly to the speakers
  5. Hi All!. It happens that creating an external midi instrument and setting the audio inputs I can't set the volume with the track fader. I can create sequences, even I can hear the external instrument but when I move the fader the volume is always the same. And if I change the general volume in the sound card all the software instrument change the volume but he external instrument. Any clue or advice is more than welcome. Thanks in advance! Edu

    Crescendo

Hi All. I would like to know if there is any way to play a sustained chord with a crescendo with the keyboard (for a french horns instrument). I can play the french horns in legato ID and then change it by crescendo in the midi region; but I would like to play with crescendo ID with the keyboard. Is this possible?. Any advice?. Thank you!
  8. For suspense effects Michael Norris plug ins are great. http://www.michaelnorris.info/software/soundmagicspectral
  9. Thank you very much for your replys! Mixing in mono doesn't really mean your final product will be a mono file but listening or monitoring in mono can help you figure out some issues in the mix that you may not hear in a stereo mix. This is a good article that explains it. http://www.homestudiocorner.com/mixing-in-mono/ David, I think with this article I'm answering WHY I think that what can I do with this technique is just EQ and gain staging, and I doing more. That was my question. And yes David, I think you are right, it is just checking, no mixing in mono. Thank you again for your time guys!
  10. Hi All. I have a few questions about mix in mono. I use to set a gain plug in the master and switch to mono. Here is the first question: Am I using the right plug in, or there is another one better for this task. The other question is about the effects sends. When I mix in mono I use to set the track level, EQ and compressor and send to a reverb, delay or whatever. But when I switch to stereo all the effects levels are increase around 4 dBFS. Should I work in mono just the level, EQ and compressor and set the effects in stereo? or I am using this technique in a bad way. Thank you in advance!
