  1. Input monitoring for virtual instruments - like mentioned in the release notes - would have been a huge improvement. The wonderful world of the subjunctive. 😔
  2. I did a clean installation of Ventura on my M1 iMac. When I opened Valhalla VintageVerb and Delay in Logic Pro, they didn't show the license altert window so I wasn't able to authorize the plug-ins. Then I opened Cubase 12 (also in native mode) and the VST3 versions of the plug-ins showed the license activation window as they should, so I could authorize them this way. So anyone having problems with this - try another DAW to authorize the Valhalla plug-ins.
  3. It's a shame that Logic Pro still doesn't have a dedicated drum editor for 3rd party instruments - like Cubase, Studio One, Reaper etc. already have for many years. The step editor and piano roll really aren't very user-friendly for programming drums. I started to use an instance of EZdrummer 3 just to program the drums with its integrated grid editor and then trigger the drum software library I want to use with it. Kinda works, but it's a compromise at best. TBH the lack of a drum editor is the main reason why I now mainly use Studio One instead of Logic.
  4. Yep, it worked. Thanks David! Still... I hope that Apple will add a drum editor to Logic one day.
  5. To be honest I did overlook that there's a difference between focused and selected tracks. Will try your workaround to enable the record button when the track is not focused. Thanks for your help!
  6. EZdrummer 3 sends MIDI on the output channel I selected in the inspector and the other Drum VSTi (or AUi... ) receives the MIDI on the selected input channel. The software monitoring works, but only when the record button on the drum instrument (ML Drums Essentials from ML Sound Lab) is enabled. I really wish Logic had a dedicated drum editing view, but this is only available when using Logic's own Drum Kit Desginer. However, I couldn't get Drum Kit Designer to send MIDI to another channel.
  7. Hi guys, I am using a software instrument (ML Drums) for drums. Because of the lack of a dedicated drum editor view in Logic Pro I use the grid editor of Toontrack's EZdrummer 3 to program the drums and trigger the other drum instrument. However, for this to work I have to have the record button on the drum instrument's channel constantly engaged, which is a little bit annoying because as soon as I select another channel to record guitars or do something else, the drums disappear. Am I doing something completely wrong? Is there a better way to do this so I don't have to have the record button of the drum instrument constantly engaged? Thanks in advance for your help
  8. Toontrack EZbass 1.1.0, now with native support for Apple Silicon: https://www.toontrack.com/release-notes/release-notes-ezbass/
  9. Toontrack EZdrummer 2 & Superior Drummer 3 have just been updated and are now natively compatible with Apple Silicon.
  10. I am using a Line 6 HX Stomp (USB) as input device and my Presonus Quantum 2 (Thunderbolt) as output device in Logic. I have recently experienced some very bad latency issues, too. When monitoring my input signal through guitar amp plugins I suddenly get a really bad latency up to approx. 500 ms. Sometimes it‘s not there, then suddenly it appears out of nowhere. Sometimes it helps to reload the project, sometimes not. However, it does not appear when I only use the Quantum. This problem has only recently arisen. I have been using the HX Stomp for several months and never had any problems before. And there haven‘t been any driver updates for the HX Stomp or updates for the guitar sim plugins, which could have caused the issue. I suspect that the most recently released macOS update caused a problem with USB audio.
  11. Perhaps in a couple of months... we‘ll see 10.4.9 first. Or even 10.4.8.2?! Everyone was expecting 10.5 to drop at last year‘s Winter NAMM... then at WWDC... then at Summer NAMM... then when the Mac Pro was announced... then when the Mac Pro was released... nothing happened. To be honest, I am disappointed, that after the lack of a major update last year, they skipped the „day before / first day of NAMM“ date again.
  12. Sorry, but I am not impressed. People are super excited about a slight improvement of their projects‘ load times? The last 1,5 years have been pretty boring as a Logic user.
  13. In the dictionary of the company, the term "professional" clearly seems to be synonymous with "millionaire". However, I‘m really curious when the new version of Logic will hit the App Store and if it will bring any new features to the table.
  14. Am I missing something here? To me this looks just like good ol‘ LPX 10.4.
