  1. the click track audio file only has dotted quarter notes (see screenshot).
  2. Unfortunately, that does not work: Two screenshots of the click track: before and after changing to 12/8 in smart tempo. First screenshot show smart tempo analysis perfectly in sync with dotted quarter note clicks.
  3. I have a 12/8 audio track. When I import the audio file using the smart tempo function (i.e. the 'adapt' setting) it detects the track as 4/4 (i.e dotted quarter notes detected as quarter notes. ) I have tried with fiddling with various settings, but can't get the smart tempo analysis import step to detect the quarter note tempo. Fyi, I am aware of the metronome work around "Set beat grouping in Time Signature [TS] to 3+3+3+3." But you still need the quarter note tempo set correctly. Any advice from someone who has been down this particular rabbit hole would be appreciated
  4. is it possible to get this pack for an iMac, laptop ...? if no, why is it only for iPads...doh
  5. @wing : thanks for info. I will check out the Keyboard Maestro app.
  6. That would be great.... how do I set this up ?
  7. What I would like to be able to do is: Press a key (or combination or of keys) on my UK Apple Magic Keyboard with a Numeric Keypad that does the following: 1. Play from last locate position or 2. Play from current playhead location. There are no Key Assignments available for this (that I can find). I know you can access this behaviour from selections for 'play' option in the control bar. A short-cut would improve my workflow. Thanks for any solutions
  8. @graysonbh I tried this, but could not get it to work. I must be doing something wrong.. any ideas?
  9. @Gosha - can you provide more info. I tried your suggestion (I have the large Apple numeric keyboard) but could not get anything to happen ?? I would like to have a keyboard shortcut command that toggles the spacebar to "Play from Last Locate Position" and "play from current playhead position" I am surprised that a keyboard short-cut is not available for such a basic (essential?) play option. thanks for any advice

    macOS updating

Successfully downloaded Logic 10.7.9 from App store after making a back-up of 10.4.4 (zip file placed in a folder).
  11. Update: Disconnected my troublesome Samsung T5. Deleted a Samsung software app I found in applications folder Reformatted a new Samsung T7 SSD drive to APFS. Loaded my Logic projects files and music files onto the drive. Tested that my project files open correctly from T7 with Logic 10.4.4. No problems. Made a a back-up copy of Logic 10.4.4 (zip file in folder). Moved folder to a back-up drive. Removed Logic 10.4.4 from the applications folder. Downloaded Logic from App Store. It provided the 10.7.9 version which was latest version that was compatible with my macOS 10.7.4 (Monterey). Tested that my project files open correctly with with Logic 10.7.9. All working properly so far. So my summary is, yes it is a big hassle to change macOS and Logic versions. Providing you are careful and methodical it should go okay. Phew !
