  1. Hi. Thanks for your comprehensive reply. I think it's not a falling graphics card. I know studio's with 256 ram in their Mac. I think they have no problems with legato's, just my thought. Nice to hear you will contact Spitfire. Hope to hear from you again ! Thanks, Frank
  2. Hi, I did not find a solution for this problem. I see the same issue with the legato's from Albion. I try to avoid the legato's but offcourse this is no solution. When I use sustained or other patches the CPU is normal in my system. Maybe our Ram is to light for this, I really don't know. I think you really need to contact Spitfire (chat). They are friendly and helpfull. I use legato's almost never. I search for other patches that suits my composition. Please, if you find something, let me know. If I find a solution I will post it here. Why don't you upgrade to 10.14.4 ?
  3. Hi, I also own the Chamber Strings from Spitfire. I think the Legato strings use a huge amount of CPU. I have other libraries from Spitfire and the legato's are always eating a lot. In Kontakt I use the purge button. Purge all samples and then upload sample pool. Then Kontakt loads only the samples you used in your track. That's what I do....sometimes it helps a lot. Sometime you have to start the track to load the exact samples. I do this with all the Kontakt instruments I use in the same piece. I think this saves a lot of CPU. Hope this helps...
  4. Nice to hear your experience with the S3 ! Apple has to make hardware, like a decent controller for Logic X !
  5. Hi, thanks Atlas for your reply. I did not receive a mail that I had a reply from you...strange. That's why my answer is so late. I found all the loop and sounds on my old Mac G5 and copied them to an external HD. Now I've all the waves there. I think I can grap them there and bring them to a logic x project. Not done it yet, but I think it will work. Indeed if I drag them to the Loop Browser I will end up with doubles and doubles the amount of space on my internal drive, and I do not want that. Thanks again, Frank
  6. Hi, is it possible to copy all the Apple Loops (Audio & Sofware Instrument) from Logic Pro 8 to Logic Pro x ? If so, how will they be catagorized in the loop browser ? In a seperate file ? I don't want to mess up Logic Pro x now, it's running very smoothly Thanks for your help ! Frank
  7. Hi, I'm trying to automate the Albion One (Spitfire Audio) plug in. Trying to controll the dynamics, modulation etc... On most videos (youtube) they work with midi-controllers. I"m trying to do it with the mouse for now. Do I have to use the Learn Mode..? Volume, Pan...is no problem in the arrange window, but I want to controll the different controller functions from Albion. What do I have to do ? Kind regards, Frank
  8. Solved ! Two synths gave the hum on the powerstrip. Plugged them apart from the rest now...everything is ok ! Thanks for your help, Frank
  9. Hi, thanks for your advice. Found the problem. Two Yamaha synths gave the hum on the powerstrips. Frank
  10. Found the problem. Two Yamaha synths gave the hum on the powerstrips. Thanks for your help !! Frank
  11. Hi, got the culprits ... yes 2 of them ! I got them really quickly...unplugged a few synths and noticed it immediately. My Yamaha S80 and Motif ES8. Even when the synths were off (but pluggd in) they made the hum..... I plugged them in another powerstrip apart from the rest and everything is clear now. Just a little is coming through the outputs of the S80. I think a Di-box will solve that problem or perhaps better cables for my old Yammie... Strange these synths made the hum noise on the powerstrips, very strange. Logic is very quiet now ! Don't believe I've listened to that for years. (Shame) Thank you all out there for helping me out and giving me the advice. Learning again after all those years Thanks, Frank
  12. Hi Garfy, thanks for your reply ! I'm from Belgium. Indeed, this is the way to go. I hope it isn't Logic itself. It's gonna take some time to unplug everything and then adding one piece at the time. I'm no electrician and I don't know how to connect all those 8 ways, 6 ways with each other properly. I could have made a big mistake here that I don't know off. Thanks, Frank
