  1. LaCie 2tb Rugged Thunderbolt. 1.73tb free space. Formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). I have currently moved everything off this drive and will attempt to reformat it, I've heard this has worked for some people.
  2. I'm not sure I understand what the issue is nor why you'd want to relocate only a specific section of the Apple Sound Library? Hey David, sorry for the late reply. So forget about splitting the sound library, the main problem is that my essential sound library is currently installed on my Mac (I don't have the space to download everything to my Mac) and I want to establish my external drive as the new location, in Logic there are two options: Relocate and reinstall. Reinstall just reinstalls the sounds in the same location, and when I try to relocate Logic stops the transfer around halfway saying 'Error: Content relocation could not be completed'. I've tried giving Logic full disk access in system presences, obviously I'm missing something more specific possibly buried files. If you have any info on this I'm keen to see it, otherwise I may reach out to Apple! Cheers,
  3. No, you can relocate only the entire Apple Sound Library. Sad stuff. My computer isn't letting me relocate my sounds nor completely wipe my (music creation) sound library in Storage so I literally cannot move the sound library to the hard drive I bought specifically for that purpose. Apple
  4. I have a perfectly good HDD ready to use but it always failed after a few minutes!
  5. Is there a way to download Essential Sounds to my Mac, and the large amount of additional files, loops and samples to my External HDD? I don't want it to be that I can't open up Logic without without my external HDD without it initiating a download of sounds. Basically I would like it so that with my external HDD in, I have all Logic sounds, and without it I just have essential sounds. If I just download a second copy of the essentials to my Mac after locating all sounds on my external would this be possible? Thanks !
  6. Hello everyone, There was a problem with my external hard drive, where all of my Logic Content was installed. I don't really care about relocating my Sound Library as I have installed an essential Logic sound library to my desktop. One thing I cannot figure out is how to change the pathways of my plugin presets, user patches and user channel strips. Is there a way to move these things manually or what is the best way to approach this? Bottom line: The goal is to move the patches, channel strips, presets and plug-in settings both Logic and User to my computer for a week or so until my replacement hard drive arrives. I'm not so worried about the Logic sample library. It's quite a complicated affair and any help is appreciated. Thanks, Sam
  7. Hey, I've been producing for about four years now. I took a break for a couple of months and when I came back I created a nice Logic template with everything I need. I'm having some confusion I need alleviated. My projects operate mainly out of summing stacks for Synth, Bass, Vocals, Vocal FX etc. For my drums I am currently using Drum Machine Designer (DMD) which also operates like a summing stack with all contained tracks audios getting sent to the bus that is the DMD drum rack itself. My question is about the correct way to route my audios in these summing stacks. If on these tracks, I have certain sends to lets set reverb, delay and saturation buses, do I send these auxillary tracks to my summing stack too? Or to the overall output? I find that if everything (that is the tracks, and all their respective fx sends) are going to their respective summing, with enough going on, that single summing stack bus gets overwhelmed and started clipping. This forces me to lower the volume of my tracks, resulting it a very quiet bounce when it comes time to that. What is the correct way to flow the audio signals so you the best volume and the tidiest result? Apologies for the longwinded post!
  8. Whenever I flex vocals with monophonic, there are what sounds like glitches and pops in the vocal. I used to use Polyphonic and never had any problems with that except that it gives the vocals a sort of printed chorus effect whenever I do that so I'm wondering if there are any better ways to flex vocals as Monophonic just is not doing it for me.
  9. I spent an afternoon making a really solid Logic template for speed during sessions, with synth, bass, drums, vocals etc having their own routings for reverbs, saturation, delay and so on. I made it a really nicely organized project and used it a couple of times in sessions until out of nowhere, I had a project of over 100 tracks and most of them switched. All of a sudden the synth midi was on an empty sampler or the drum audio was on a vocalsynth patch, everything was confused. This has happened to me multiple times now and it’s a total nightmare. Is this a bug or a corrupted template file? Is there any advice on this as this is one step above straight up losing my projects in terms of stress. Cheers
