  1. Thank you so much Blink. I really appreciate the time that you took to clarify that for me.
  2. Hello everybody, I'm not receiving any audio after freezing a midi track. My midi track going out to (5-6). My synth is plugged into (5-6) on my interface also. The audio track is going out to (stereo 1-2) Am I routing wrong? I've also reset the core audio as well.
  3. Hm... maybe somebody else would be able to chime in to help you out there. Best of luck!
  4. From my understanding, most, ( if not all ) digital audio workstations are organized in that fashion, from the scoring section, to the piano roll. It's frustrating to a composer with a theory-based mindset, but, after a while you find a way to work your mind around it.
  5. Interesting. I'd check the levels if it were me... and continue on with processing. We have fun when we experiment, and in that sense, time seems to fly by. Keep it up!
  6. Open the browser, then select the project tab. Under edit, hit the option labeled "select unused" This will select all of your unused audio; but be mindful if you're sharing that audio with another project. Finally, hit edit, then delete. Did that help?
  7. Thank you brother. You made an awesome contribution with this website, along with the other mods. I will be back!
  8. David. I really appreciate it that you chimed in. I found out earlier this morning through trial and error. I made the simple mistake by having my midi channel set to "all", for each instrument track; assuming that would allow me to append a range of patches from my synth to an "unlimited" amount of midi tracks. It's not logical. lol
  9. Found the answer; I suppose. Its not a 16 part multi-timbral synth, and that probably has to be the reason why.
  10. Is it not possible to have independent instrument/midi tracks that contain separate (possibly layered) patches from my hardware synthesizer? Is my only option to bounce the track to audio, and compose each instrument/midi track one by one?
  11. I'm sure that somebody has an idea out there?
  12. Hello out there. I was wondering if anybody could guide me in the right direction. I've created an instrument track set to receive "all" midi channels, perfect. I'm able to hear my current patch playing from my JP-50 which is connected via usb. However, my problem is this: When I go to create another instrument track with the same settings -- (selecting the same input destination (5-6) which is where my audio lines are plugged into my interface, I get the same patch-- meaning, whatever patch I switch to, both instrument "midi" tracks will play the same patch. Oddly enough, I'm able to switch patches on the same track and it records it via midi with the program change information, but I'm not able to layer separate tracks with completely different patches from my hardware synth. I have tried to freeze the track, but, no dice. I don't even get playback after freezing. Maybe I didn't configure the routing situation properly? Could anybody please give a hand? I'd really appreciate it.
