hey fellas! i have this problem concerning the CHORD TRIGGER Midi FX wich seems so oddly simple yet i cant find anything about it online. following setup:
i want to use the MPC Style pads on my Akai MIDI Controller to not trigger single notes, but chords, to get an MPC Sample like feeling for a certain live setup.
the CHORD TRIGGER Midi FX seems to be the perfect solution, and as long as i am using it on an software instrument track it works just fine. but: the akai controller that i connected to my computer via USB is also connected to an external yamaha DX7 synth via MIDI. i can play single notes with single pads (or keys) setting up a midi track to send the notes and an audio track to play back the synth. no problem. why cant i implement the CHORD TRIGGER FX onto a midi track? to send chords instead of single notes to the DX 7?? is there ANY solution to this? it seems like the most simple thing in the world: make the computer send 3 or 4 MIDI notes (instead of 1) to an external instrument. just like on the software instrument track. yet i cant find any solution to this... is there any??? help would be much appreciated here! thank you guys! tim
SOLVED: check the "use plug in for external instrument" box when creating a MIDI track and it should work just fine. thank you so much guys!
