  1. hello friends. I'm back in town and back near my files. here is the link to my project. https://we.tl/Qw3dO6QgIJ (Nearly) all events have disappeared every two or so bars, including chord symbols. Please ignore some of my attempts at presentation, I was half way through cleaning up on the score editor, putting in slash marks and so forth, then this occurred. Very frustrating as I am so close to finishing and all of a sudden I've got to do so much of it again.
  2. Ah damn ran out of time. I will be out of town for a month, i will transfer and post the link to you when I get back. Thanks for your responses and offers to help so far.
  3. I attempted to upload the zipped file but it was still too large. Is there something else I can do?
  4. Hi friends, I have been arranging a big band chart. The arranging is almost done and I was working on cleaning up the score and parts (adding rehearsal marks, fixing up spacings etc...). As I went back to listen I noticed that notes have disappeared from the arrangement. The pattern that I see is that every few bars, the midi event that was on the first beat of the bar has disappeared. It appears to be happening for a set of instruments...e.g. Bar 2 beat 1, the note for trumpets 1, 2 and 3 have gone. Same again on bar 4. Further on notes for alto/tenor saxes on beat 1 has also gone. There are a lot of notes so its very tricky to find the exact pattern, but this is what I've seen so far. Has anyone come across this before? Running MacOS Sierra, 10.12.1 Omes
  5. thanks, i'll look into that eventually. Thats for another project further down the track. My main concern now is trying to find a way of notating it visually on the score editor.
  6. Hi there, I am trying to notate a trumpet fall-off (notated as a squiggly decending line) in a big band arrangement (I am doing. see attached image) I searched the forums and saw that a few years ago people had similar issues and were hoping that the people at Logic would add this symbol to the part-box. (viewtopic.php?t=107675). I'm assuming that hasn't happened yet. Anyone know how they can make this happen? its a pretty useful symbol to have. Has anyone uncovered a decent work-around to add this symbol to their charts? In the above thread there was someone who said they 'created a font' to add this symbol. How would one go about that? or is there an even better way? Thanks, apologies if this has been covered again somewhere. If it has, I haven't managed to find it.
  7. ha! you guys are the best. Thank you so much!!
  8. Thanks for your prompt response. So far the things you have mentioned have not changed the format. I have zipped the file and attached it to this reply. supermarket flowers - Ed Sheehan.zip
  9. Hi Friends. I have been writing arrangements in logic pro (10.2.4) and sometimes the score editor outputs rests after a note which are incorrect. For example instead of a 2 beat rest, logic outputs four 1/2 beat rests, or something like that. (see image 1) Furthermore, if I extend out the notes to fill the whole bar, it creates ties over the note values instead of making it a whole note (see image 2) Putting in rests from the part box doesn't work Using the eraser tool doesn't work there are no unusual events in the event list that I can see, like a hidden note. There is only 1 region and it starts on the beginning of bar one and finishes on the end of bar 26. If anyone has any clues as to how to fix this I'd love to hear it, as I'm all out of ideas.
