  1. Many thank yous! Anybody got an idea how to get this EMS VCS 3 (or is it a Moog?) sound on Time (see, e.g., the :39 mark, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwYX52BP2Sk? I've come close, but no "cigar" just yet.
  2. Thanks for the quick test recommendations! So, panning works just fine on my monitors (and I'm busted for doing too much mixing in the headphones!). That's a relief. The no-pan in headphones issue is in both LPX and Garageband, but seems to go away when I switch audio out to the Mac. So, I'm thinking I've either user error'd a setting in my Focusrite control, or there's a bug. I'll keep toying at it and reviewing the user manual.
  3. Hey, all - I know this is a well plumbed area of discussion. I apologize and I am posting this only as a last resort, as I've researched the topic on this and other sites and still cannot resolve the issue I'm having. My panning is not working in Logic Pro X 10.3.2. Previously, it was coming and going, but now it's decided to stay away. I've quit, restarted, started a new project, etc., to no avail. I've run down the stereo, balance, binaural options; I've switched tracks from mono to stereo; I've played with buses/sends, pre-fader, post fader, etc. I've tried it on software tracks and audio tracks, imported audio files, etc. Nothing. The the individual tracks, bus tracks, master output, etc. will not pan. Instead, when I manipulate the pan pot, I just get kind of a wobble in the sound. I've checked and unchecked the pan law. I'm using a Focusrite 8 pre thunderbolt. It comes with Focusrite control and I've checked the settings there and don't see a problem. Interestingly, the aux and stereo out meters register that the signal is being panned, it just sounds straight up the middle. To an extent, I'm kinda glad I'm being forced to pre-mix in mono, but I'd like the option of some width! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  4. Good morning/afternoon! I've searched the site and the web and cannot find an answer to this (though it's likely user error on my part). I'm using OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 on a late 2012 era iMac running Logic Pro X. For some reason, my system will NOT let me download the LPX 10.3.1 update. Instead, the spinning pinwheel will just spin and spin infinitely with no advancement. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
