  1. Ahh very nice. I got a 46 too and thought it a shame they had such a short life. Cheers!
  2. I wouldn't discount your 46 just yet. Apogee seem to be working on it. And don't forget you can still use the preamps in a slave mode via adat. https://apogeedigital.com/home-feature-news/apogee-products-and-macos-big-sur-apple-silicon-compatibility-information#known-issues
  3. Another +1 for RME. Went with them, also with an 802, for their support longevity. They were still writing drivers for the Fireface 800 in 2019 so 15 years is pretty good in my book:)
  4. RME UCX perhaps? Same price range as Element but with midi. Sorry, confused it with the UC regarding price:)
  5. This! Bleed is not good on a great vocal take.
  6. I think the ram is still user upgradeable on the new mac mini so you could dodge the apple tax. OWC have ram for 2018 mac mini.
  7. I probably should of mentioned this in the post to begin with. Hope some of you managed to nab it. j.
  8. Sorry it didn't work but I thought it was a long shot. If you can stretch your budget, I like RME for driver stability and support. But they are up there in price. Otherwise, I believe the Scarlett range from Focusrite is quite popular on the more budget friendly side. Depends on your money:) plenty out there to read up on tho.
  9. Have you tried the 10.3.3 driver? Not sure on El Cap but I believe that it worked on Yosemite(unsupported) for some reason.
  10. Thanks for posting this. What a great plug-in and especially for those of us still learning. @lagerfeldt, such good information on your FAQ I've bookmarked your page. Wish I had of seen it 3 weeks ago when I sent my first project off for mastering!
  11. For your consideration:) http://acustica-audio.com/pages/specials/acustica-audio-ceil j.
  12. I like this technique (insert DAW and instrument as needed )
  13. Maybe check out Equivocate by Eventide? Does allow for side chaining like you suggest. Only problem is you need an iLok to demo/buy it. j.
  14. hey ya Stardust, I managed to pick up the freebie but haven't tried it. I'm in Oz, or Australia if ya not familiar with the shortened version:), so there might be a few hours left to try again. Not really versed on the timezones( I see you are in Switzerland) but we are usually a day ahead than the us I think so maybe have another go at it. 1000 licences a day so you could lucky? Wish I could of posted earlier:)
