  1. I now have a MB air M2 8GB 256. It seems to be less powerful based on track count in the project. At 32 ms it starts to stutter at 68..
  2. yes the no fan property is brilliant, the thing is dead quiet. Doesn't get hot either, not even on Teams video calls (my MBP 16" went to frying conditions ) . You can really use it on your lap
  3. my MacBook Air M1 256 8GB at 32ms hits 105 tracks on the stock plugin project. increasing buffer size does not seem to make a difference though? [edit: my 4.2 Quad core i7 iMac with 16GB get's stuck at 66 tracks... wow... I'm impressed by the M1]
  4. we have been working with Splice now for a month or so and i have to say that I am impressed. We still have to tell each other who's working on what, because if 2 people get version A off the site and both make changes it will result in a version B and a version C. These 2 cannot be combined. Other than that, perfect solution.
  5. you can disable it under preferences > general > Devices > Rewire behavior (set it to "OFF") Be aware that any plugins using this technique (like Waves Tune) will nog function properly without this feature.
  6. on my macbook, scrolling with 2 fingers is related to the zoom level. In other words, scrolling the file moves it by the same amount back and forth on the screen, regardless of the zoom level. (I don't know if I am explaining this correctly, language issue). So if you will be doing a lot of detailed editing a trackpad may be helpful....
  7. give this one a bump. My bandies and I are working on projects and WeTransferring them around like crazy. To a point where we are unsure what version one is sending to the other, and working on wrong versions. I came across Splice, https://splice.com, does any of you have experience with this platform? And, this topic is 3 years old, maybe some other possibilities popped up? Please lemmeno, advice is very welcome!

    New OS

Apparently Apple's new file system makes things faster. Time will tell. I guess if we don't follow the update circus one day we will be left with something not compatible to other things and software. Don't know if this answers your question though.

downloading it now... 30' to go
  10. had the same setup for a couple of years, with only 8GB of RAM. Moved to the macbook because of portability, but the Mini never let me down. (neither did the MBP btw)
  11. anybody? Due for a session with the drummer so help is greatly appreciated..!
  12. been working with Logic for 15 years and never new this. I always kept my channel gains relatively low so I would not have to 'remix' the whole project because one of the tracks was clipping. What a tip.
  13. Hi there, Our drummer plays V-Drums on a TD-9 kit. We recorded the midi from the kit, so we could play around with the kits in Logic. When we use Drum Kit designer we kan choose the midi input mapping in the plugin. IN the midi file we use the difference between GM and V-Drum is mainly how the hi-hat behaves. The V-Drum setting creates the proper behaviour. But we want to play around with the Drum Machine designer to create more electronic sounds, and this plugin does not have the option to change the mapping to V-Drum. Hence the hihat sounds strange. Do we have to create a custom mapping in the environment or is there a faster way to achieve this? Mac Os 10.12.6 LP10.3.2 MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
  14. Ok, got it. I own Waves Tune Lite as part of my gold bundle. I will use that, like I did formerly. I very much liked the ability to correct pitch without using a plugin, also the user interface for correcting pitch in Logic beats that of Waves tune by a lot. But if it results in audio problems I will use Waves.
  15. yep turning off flex pitch solves the problem. Is this a known bug?
