  1. sorry everyone, the link went down for some reason! I fixed it so you can listen & enjoy! warning it's pretty freakin' loud!
  2. This song is in honor of Vincent Di Pasquales' Rockin' Seminar! Thanks for the tips! Check him out at http://www.vcdstudios.com/ Composed/mixed in Logic, mastered in Ableton? that's right...I said it...I'm in love with Nexus, all 5 gigs of it, figured I'd get nasty with it on a track. This one's an original. Enchanting vocals written/performed by Jenvious. 47 tracks on a G4 dual, thank GOD for 2GB ram and a fast external! oh, and if you download this, don't open it in iTunes, the "sound enhancer" creates this really UGLY reverb or something that makes the track sound HORRIBLE! Enjoy http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=5400718&q=hi
  3. www.mybedroomstudio.com You MUST CHECK THIS OUT! It's great for all the geeks on here! and after that go to www.ning.com and create your VERY OWN fansite! wow! terrific (if you didn't already know about it) Just another way to get "connected" Some of my favorites are: www.soundclick.com www.uber.com www.nexcat.com www.facebook.com These sites really work well and are VERY mac friendly!
  4. Melodyne baby....sweet sweet Melodyne....can't we just use Eiffel 65 instead? my God...I don't think we'll ever live that Cher song down....barf.
  5. and David, I'm just speaking of these kids...like YOUNG kids 17 or 18 putting together stuff that immeadiately made me say...uh...who made this? given it was just an eight bar loop, but then again...most of hip hop is..just an 8 bar loop anyhow...but just the quality of the sounds, it was like they took an MPC and dumped it into fruity loops....unless they are just that....please don't tell me they packed FLS with like the usual 4 gigs of loops that you can probably get from anyone on the street with a PC ?
  6. this much is true Obi Wan....this much is true...I just wondered if Fruity has actually started including actual "loops" or if these people are actually "writing" the music, because if they are...I'm like really impressed. And the stuff you're talking about...wow, reminds me of when BT said..and was in this room with all these machines...printers, faxes, copiers...and it made such beautiful music! I mean...wow...how's that for enlightenment, I swear...one day I'm going to get a Microtrack and go nuts...come to think of it, the best stuff I've ever heard doesn't conform to any rules whatsoever..hello...Trent? Fear Factory? Timbaland? Kid Beyond? BT ? I'm sure you all could add like a MILLION more but that just goes to show...if you break out of all that crap...like the timeline...you stop doing math and begin doing music! There are NO absolute rules! NO boundaries! Speaking of that...where can I find out how to master beatmapping? anyone?
  7. Ok...this is starting to scare the hell out of me...can someone tell me why I'm hearing some of the hottest hip hop beats I've EVER heard being produced by people using nothing more than FRUITY LOOPS? I mean are they using like Apple Loops now or is this stuff actually being "programmed" as we say. My first guess...no effen way! I mean...this stuff sounds really really good....what the fruit is going on here ? ? ? what did i miss? 10 years of product development or a bunch of bundled loops that make a celebrity overnight?
  8. Ok...now this was cool, I can't believe I forgot to share this with everyone. last month I trained a fellow named Mr. Collipark...who is this might you ask? Ever heard of Lil' John? The Yin Yang Twins? Bubba Sparxxx? Mr. Collipark is the person who produced most of their big hits...using raw talent! Trust me, this guy is no BS in the studio! He sat with me for a 5 day masterclass! what a treat! It's a great feeling that perhaps I'll have had some hand in his next big hip-hop production! This guy has worked in some of the biggest studios anyone has ever known of and I was really grateful that he knew...for sure...that Logic was the "sleeping giant." Especially in the "Dirty South" ...So...add him to the list David! this will be great influence for all the up & coming talent! If you want to know his repitoire check him out on wikipedia, the man makes hits for breakfast. Quite a lifestyle...and believe me...his workflow...has been officially "Logicified." The next hit you hear him produce...you'll know =0)
  9. So, I took that seminar with Vincent di Pasquale, after which I was astounded to see so many cool tricks done so well. This was top-notch material straight from Apple! really great insight into the depths of Logic to show how even the hit makers keep it simple! It made me think sometimes, when in the middle of a session...and I mean deep into the song, trying to squeeze as many frozen tracks out of my G4 dual that I can...that it's just too much! Keep it simple, keep it cool! and use Logic instead of letting it use you! The reason I'm writing this is because I wrote to Vincent and he actually wrote me back! It was great to see that he was gracious for the feedback and let me in on something he's "working" on...an amazing new project! and if it's anything like this, wouldn't that be a TREAT! nevertheless he asked kindly if I would pass the word on, so if we were interested in more seminars like this or things of this nature; if we could show support for the cause! SO...check out his SWEEEET studio on his website, this guy is as LOGIC as it gets! when I was watching the seminar I was like hey! who cares about an upgrade? look what someone can do with 7? just amazing folks! Anyhow, he's a really cool cat and anyone interested should drop him a line especially since we know he appreciates it...even after the IMMENSE success he's had...now in my eyes, there's a rock star. http://www.vcdstudios.com
  10. try...the nature sounds that came with Garageband! haha! that one's called "Camp Fire" you can hear if you listen closely, also i layered it with a sample of myself snapping & clicking from the FIRST Logic song I ever did...I just thought it was so cool I had to bring it back! Thanks for the feedback, this should be interesting!
  11. Well...that certainly gives me some homework! good call my man!
  12. WHAT'CHA GONNA DO BROTHER....WHEN LOGIC 8 REIGNS DOWN ON YOU!
  13. the heck with all this....I'm goin back to re-birth & fruity loops! gonna make the phat beats yo!
  14. Ok...dig this here's a little medley for ya'll, I can't help but listen to it....over and over. Definitely a late night track. Enjoy this track completely done in...you guessed it...LOGIC baby! I don't know what else to add or takeaway and am kind of at a hault with the track...how about some feedback? http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=5177770&q=hi
  15. ok...new name for you D......Captain Insane-o ....LOL! nice track indeed! enjoyed the automation and suprises during the trak, a master in your craft my man!
