  1. Thanks everyone! I think I got it working - part of the problem is that the instructions for using the MiniLab to change the MIDI channel didn't seem to be quite right (it seemed like I had to select another scene first). but all working now. I created a new project and successfully have one controller controlling one track and another controlling the other.
  2. Hi all, I'm very new to Logic, so I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious here, but hoping someone can help me out. Essentially, I'm looking to do what's described here: https://www.logicprohelp.com/instruments-tracks-midi-channels/ I have Logic Pro X latest version, and I have two MIDI controllers - an Arturia MiniLab MkII and a Korg NanoKey Studio. What I'm trying to do is essentially just have two tracks with two different software instruments, and have the MiniLab MkII only control track 1, and the NanoKey Studio only control track 2. I've tried following the instructions in the link above, but can't seem to actually get it to do this. On the Arturia MiniLab MkII, to set the midi channel, you hold the Shift key down on the controller and press one of the keyboard keys for the MIDI channel you want to set it to. On the NanoKey Studio, it seems like you have to set the channel in the KORG software editor. I've basically done this with both - and I'm trying to focus on just even getting the MiniLab working this way first to make sure I have it basically figured out, but I don't seem to. For example, I hold the shift key down and set the MIDI channel to 1. I then set the MIDI channel for track 1 to 1 as well. Doing this, the MiniLab controls this track. However, if I then change the channels, it still controls it anyway (i.e. if I leave the Logic track 1 set to channel 1, but change the channel on the MiniLab to channel 2, it still seems to control it anyway. It's this that's making me think I'm still missing something obvious. I've tried various combinations and just can't seem to get it working. Does anyone have any advice?
