  1. Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to do this - capture an EQ Match setting as an IR. Is there a way to do this "in the box" - all internally - within the computer using Impulse Response Utility, or do I need to somehow route the sweep out from a hardware output, into Logic, then back out to the Impulse Response Utility? Thanks.
  2. There's a long thread about this in the Apple communities. I think others have found other solutions: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251362153
  3. Either by dragging the red strip, or clicking the In/Out icons in my Control Bar. What I wanted to be able to do is select a Marker and have the Autopunch In/Out points correspond to the Marker beginning/end points.
  4. Yes, the red stripe for the punch in/out points appears in the ruler.
  5. Hi. Is there a way to highlight a marker (or Arrangement section) and have Autopunch be set to the length of the Marker/Arrangement section? I'm struggling with finding an efficient way of setting Autopunch in/out points, aside from manually moving the Playhead to a position, pressing the Autopunch In point, moving to another position, and pressing the Out point. Thanks much in advance.
  6. Hi. I can't relocate my sound library to either of my external drives, even though I've enabled Full Disk Access for Logic in Security & Privacy>Full Disk Access>Privacy. Logic is in the list, with a check mark next to it. I've tried with disks formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and AFPS. I get the same "Error: Content relocation could not be completed." Any clues on how to resolve? Update: starting my computer in safe mode (holding shift while starting up) allowed me to relocate the sound library.
  7. None of the monitoring boxes were checked. BUT I see that I did not have Auto Input Monitoring selected. With that enabled, the track controls function as expected.
  8. With the latest version of logic, 10.6.1, on Catalina, I'm encountering strange behavior that I don't recall seeing before: when I try to play back a track that is record-enabled, mute, pan, and fader functions do not work. In other words, if a-record enabled track track is playing, muting, changing pan or changing volume have no effect. Conversely if I start playing a track that is record-enabled and muted, when I unmute the track nothing happens. However all this changes if the green Software Monitoring button in the top Control area is enabled. Then a record-enabled track plays back as expected, with all channel functionality working properly. Is this a logic quirk that I never noticed, or a bug with the new version, or just a bug on my system?
  9. Ah, thanks very much! You're totally right; it must be a bus issue.
  10. I've noticed that if I record on two tracks simultaneously, one with a plugin (like an amp simulator) and one without, the track with the plugin is late - delayed by about 7 ms. [since Logic doesn't allow simultaneous recording of more than one track set to the same input, the workaround is to use a send on the direct track to bus over to the track with the plugin] This is with my sample buffer set to 128, using an RME Babyface Pro (which has excellent round-trip latency performance), and toggling low latency mode makes no difference. Ableton Live does the same thing when you monitor the input; turning off the input monitor records audio without recording the latency. Reaper records properly, with the waveform for both direct track and plugin track line up perfectly. I guess the workaround is to record a direct track and then move that audio over to the plugin track? Hoping there's a way to not have to do this extra step.
  11. Hi. Is it possible to have Logic's ruler display time (like hours:minutes:seconds:10ths:hundreds:thousanths) instead of the selected SMPTE division? I can't seem to figure this out.
  12. Yes, working in No Overlap and applying cross-fades manually makes the most sense to me. Thanks.
  13. Thanks much Eric. Yes, either Packing or making sure Overlap mode is selected are good workaround. I'm curious, though, if you see advantages to Logic's approach. Other DAW's don't behave like Logic: moving grouped regions into an empty place on a timeline does not result in lost fades or hacked off overlaps.
  14. When I try to move grouped regions, the fade and overlap settings of the various regions get scrambled or lost depending on what the drag setting (Overlap, x-Fade, or no Overlap) is. This shouldn't happen - one should be able to move regions and preserve the region edges as is, without affecting cross-fades, overlap or non overlap edges. Seems like a big bug to me.
