  1. Thanks that’s good to hear. I’ll keep working on it.
  2. Not having any luck with this plugin in Logic 10.4. Anything I try to align sound actually just slower no matter what setting I try. Anyone else having success with this plug? I will go to the Synchro Arts forum and see if anyone else is complaining.
  3. Thanks David. I did have "keep" selected and both items down the bottom set to off BUT I did have "Trim Start Of New Regions" selected and that was the culprit. Thanks so much for your help.
  4. I have the latest Logic Pro X and yesterday I updated my system to 10.13.3. Now if I have "Use Musical Grid" under the Record Menu selected, a very strange thing happens when I record audio and stop without dropping out of record. If I don't drop out of record and just hit the space bar Logic moves the recording to the right by a random amount and trims a random amount from the front of the audio (it's still there of course) If I drop out of record then hit stop then Logic does not move the file. Even if "Use Musical Grid" is checked. At first I thought something had changed with my settings or delay compensation but after spending hours checking all that and also restarting the computer.....also saving this session to another drive (same result) I finally discovered that if I unchecked "Use Musical Grid" then everything is ok. Recheck it and the recording is moved. Ok it's an easy fix, just drop out of record. But I never used to do that before. I always just hit stop. I note that there are some new transport function and perhaps this is where this new behavior has come from. I can now select any selection and pressing play automatically plays from there......yay.....no modifier, just like ProTools!! Also Shift clicking in the arrange area causes play from there....and even better it automatically returns to there when you hit play again!!! Just like ProTools.
  5. Hi Dave, thanks for responding. Yes in PT you just hit the modifier or release it. Can you imagine doing a track with 32 backing vocals, grouped in male or female and the different harmony groupings and trying to solo each voice quickly to find a problem? Trying to use Shift G and then the mouse and the mouse again and shift G again!! I really hope they change that. Probably one of the reasons that even Logic and other DAW users still mix in PT. Thanks for the option solo in the mixer clue and also thanks to Ploki who mentioned that. I do love Logic though. Very creative. Also very low CPU usage. Thanks for your help Dave.
  6. Shift G is another move. Very clumsy.....after 25 years of PTools. I'm never going to get used to that. I end up forgetting that I've left the groups off and then go and move a fader. More wasted time. For heaven's sake there a billion key commands.......give us a clutch for solo and mute and fader moves. It's recording software.......right? Shift G is for turning groups off. It's not a clutch. BTW Option solo doesn't work.......but it should. But thanks for the help. Ha ha this is funny......I remember asking Gerhard or Chris Adams for new features about 25 years ago for Logic. In those days they would actually communicate with us early Logic adopters. I used to run Notator on an Atari. Back in the day. Here I am again.
  7. Please excuse my "like in Pro Tools" questions. There are a few commands I really need to get up to speed on. In Pro Tools, when I am, for example, lining up a midi note with the start of a kick drum sample, I can Tab to the transient of the kick......so that the curser will park there........and then with the cursor parked on the transient I can control-click the midi note and it will jump to the exact sample accurate position. I also need to line up midi notes on the piano roll (unquantized positions) stacked on top of each other and the same method I described above also works. So in PT I select a midi not and control-click another midi note which will snap exactly to the same start point. What is the method to accomplish this in Logic? Thanks.
  8. For the love of God please don't tell me I have to un-toggle group before I can solo one channel in a group or move a single fader in a group. There has to be a single key clutch like in ProTools.......please, please!! (I do love Logic but admit to "change over shock" coming from PT.....no offense intended)
