  1. I have answered my own question! File > Project Settings > MIDI > Untick "Control change 7/10..." Bye!
  2. Here's a gif that makes it a bit clearer: The pan pots are linked... but why?
  3. I have two External MIDI tracks, both of which are cabled in the environment to a software instrument track using the DLSMusicDevice instrument. The purpose of this is so that two different MIDI tracks with different instrument (program)/panning/volume can play through a single DLSMusicDevice instrument. When a panning controller event strikes on the external MIDI track, it also pans the software instrument track. This has the effect of panning BOTH the instruments that are feeding into the software instrument track. How do I stop this from happening?? Below is a screenshot if it helps. There is a controller event on the "Bass" track to pan the bass to the right, but as you can see, this also causes "Inst 13" to pan to the right, meaning that the "Gtr" MIDI track is also audibly panned. Please help me!
  4. For anyone else with the same issue, I've found a work around: just have one DLS music device instruments track, and multiple external midi tracks feeding into it. Instructions here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8249769
  5. I have made this from a new empty project. I've done it multiple times, same issue everytime. I am using about 20-30 DLS instrument tracks if that is relevant. If helpful I can upload the logic file.
  6. Does anyone else have this problem? When ever I use multiple instances of DLS Music Device as a plugin, Logic Pro X crashes. I've tried 10.3, 10.4 and 10.4.1, the issue won't disappear. I've used DLS music device before with no issues. Any help please! Thanks.
  7. Thanks for your advice. Eriksimon: Ok I will update when I have a moment and see if that resolves it. I don't think it's a fault of any particular Audio Unit synth, several synths display similar issues. For example in the video the two piano rolls shown with similar glitches are Kontakt and Serum. Eric: Unfortunately I have had to turn Logic X's special track pad abilities off due to glitchy haptic feedback - see viewtopic.php?f=1&t=136371&p=698797#p698797
  8. Here's a video I took to show you what I mean if it helps:
  9. Logic Pro X 10.4.0. Again it works with some softsynths but not with others. With some synths, when you use the pencil tool to create a long note in the piano roll, you only hear a very short note (so short you can barely hear it). But then of course when you play the note back, or click on the note you've just created, you hear the full length of the note. Logic Pro X seems strange. Logic Pro 9 never had these issues.
  10. Logic doesn't produce the sound of a created note until you release the click, so holding the click for long only delays when the sound will start (if it starts, that is)
  11. Yes it is. Oddly it works with some synths, and then some synths it will only pay every occasional note as you creat them
  12. Long time Logic user here struggling to get used to Logic Pro X. When in the piano roll, and I command-click to create a new note - sometimes the note is silent, as in you won't hear it at the moment you create it. But sometimes you do hear it. In previous Logic versions it always played back the note as you created it so you knew what you were creating. Can this functionality be replicated with Logic X?
  13. Here's a video I made of the sound it makes when it's doing the rapid-fire clicking during a click-and-drag
  14. Does anyone else get Strange taptic/haptic feedback/clicking from Logic Pro X on new Mac's force trackpad. I have a brand new Mac and the new taptic trackpad gives heaps of weird clicks when using LPX. For example, when clicking and dragging anything the trackpad will click about twice a second. Also, occasionally when I'm dragging a fader or a note the trackpad will rapid-fire click at me while I'm doing it. I can't find any mention in the LPX user guide of haptic/taptic feedback or what it is designed to do, and I don't get this issue in any other software so this seems like a very worrying glitch for a $4k Mac and $300 piece of software.
  15. Oddly I can hear the live audio if I arm the track AFTER I hit play but not if the track is record ready WHEN I hit play
