  1. oh no!!! really? everybody seems to be focussed on new instruments mainly but is 'paste replace' working properly by now? thanks!
  2. just found out about the update. i don't seem to get notified whenever there's a logic update. did they fix 'paste and replace'? did they implement transparency settings for audio regions? thanks!
  3. Thanks david, that was fast! Is there also a way to do it numerically? Like for instance tell it to pitch the selection down -6 semitones?
  4. What is the most convienent way to simply pitch shift selection based? No stretching or whatever just pitch shift it like it used to work using a sampler. Thanks.
  5. In LP regular 'paste' and 'paste and replace' seem to do the same thing or am I missing something? Thanks.
  6. Hmmm. Still works for me. Mute status in my main window does not follow changes made in the mixer. Maybe it’s just a lucky issue with my setup. But I did do a 100% fresh (even wiped all config and user files) installation and it came back but other issues I had did not. Did you mute first using the mute button on the track in the main window, then unmute same track on mixer? Yes, tried it again a couple of times just now, to make sure. No matter which order.
  7. It doesn't at all, When was the last time you paid for MacOS, Final Cut, iMovie, Garageband, Pages, Numbers etc.? LPX is a product that you've paid your entry too, just like those above. O wow really? I didn't know that!
  8. Wondering what those are that you can't do in Logic? Haven't used PT in years. Hi David, In Pt you're able to select a time range containing regions and gaps / silence and copy paste / repeat this multiple times replacing all other regions and gaps already on a track. I use this a lot as I work with straight audio regions (non midi or sampler tracks) a lot to create my drum patterns and loops. I think this is what paste and replace is supposed to do in LP? A stereo track can be splitted into two new mono tracks L R with just one click. You will end up with the original stereo track and the two new mono tracks. I use this a lot as I'm sampling mostly old records which may have a nice drumloop on the L and something else on the R.
  9. I'm lost without it. Give me: Translucent regions like PT Copy Paste behavior like PT Stereo to Mono track splitting like PT And I promise no more PT for me.
  10. Hi David, that was fast! Ok, so they must really not see how region transparency is important to a lot people
  11. Really? I guess they ironed it out for 10.4.7 I wonder... do Logic devs ever browse this forum? I'm trying some of the free DAWs out there.... Ardour for example has transparency options galore.
  12. This seems to be one of the top requested features for years. Really weird they never looked into this. It seems easy to implement as on muted tracks it's there already basically.
