I assign the outputs via send bus pre fader.
In PT10 you can assign an output route on the bus/send section of each channel. It takes 3clicks.
So far in Logic X it is quite the process...not intuitive at all.
I have discovered in Logic X you can assign a bus...set it pre fader..set the level to unity...Then the software automatically creates a AUX bus Channel. Then you must assign the Aux bus to a dedicated output and pan the aux L or R depending on which output that instrument is assigned to. That is the set up I went with.
I was surprised that when I muted the original instrument channel that it also muted the bus send. The Bus send was set at pre fader so it should not mute the signal flow but it did......so confusing, the pre fader bus does not flow like a real console.
any advise?
