  1. Finally decided to remove Logic from my computer and use only Reaper in future. I don't need this account anymore and I would like to delete it, but I can't find way to do it.
  2. When I open project that has ML5 or Roots plugins from ML Soundlabs, first time I hit play button they give very loud peak (like +50db). After that everything works fine. I contacted them, but unfortunately they couldn't help. This happens only in Logic, not in Reaper so maybe the problem is in Logic. Here is short video sample of the issue.
  3. So you mean I should drag end of previous clip and beginning of next clip together, change to fade tool and create crossfade? Just tried that method and I have still same problem. If I try to adjust middle point of crossfade I can't move it. I can trim regions, but then I again start to have weird behaviour of crossfade. Way crossfades works in the sample of my video in Reaper is way more easier and faster.
  4. When I edit crossfades graphics show weird things, like crossfade starts after item starts etc. Is this a bug or is it supposed to work this weird? Here is comparison of editing crossfades between Logic and Reaper.
  5. So combining different channels is made in program that makes dcp file, there is no way to export ready three channel audiofile from logic? I just downloaded Dcp o-matic I need to take closer look of that. In this simple project this way to mix can work, but I need to learn how I could do this prober way if have access to more speakers next time I will do short film. I’m assuming exporting lot of individual tracks and then combining them later isn’t the way professionals are doeing it...
  6. I thought LCR is 3.1 since there is three channels plus sub woofer. How do I combine those three individual tracks to my dcp file?
  7. The sounddesign is fairly simple. There is only one track with all the dialogue and couple tracks with music and ambience. The problem is that how do I export 3.1 (or is it safer to make 5.1 with two silent tracks?) instead of stereo and how to route dialogue to center and everything else to stereo?
  8. I’m doeing sounddesign to shorfilm that will be displayed in movie theater. I want to mix all dialogue to center speaker and music and sounddesign to left and right. I’m not sure if they have 5.1 or 7.1 and I don’t have place to mix with more speakers so I think this os safest option. How can I make that three channel mix? Movie needs to be in dcp format. Also all information related to how to make that dcp audio is welcome.
  9. Changing project from 48khz to 44khz seemed to help lot. There are now only one certain point in the project where one snare hit is not audible. I bounced the song again just before that part and combined audiofiles to get those notes too. Trying to make 44khz files makes the bouncing bar to stop around 95% and it never finishes, but 48khz files work. Now also offline rendering finishes and creates audiofile, but it has lot of missing notes or notes stopping immediattely. I guess vienna symphonic library is recorded in 48khz and that’s why project works better in that sample rate too.
  10. I have quite large virtual orchestra project (vienna, project sam and logics own libraries) and during playback some notes suddenly stop or don’t play at all. I can still do composing and mixing, problem isn’t that bad. However, when I try to do final render it’s seems to be impossible. When using offline rendering, bouncing starts, then stops almost immediatly. No file is created, no warnings or anything. When using realtime rendering all those dropped notes end up to final audio file. I tried to render one section at time and combine audiofiles in different project, but there are still some notes missing.

  12. There are couple problems why this isn’t easy. 1) sometimes the problem arwa might be just couple samples and it takes lot of time to hunt those samples with extra close zoom and sometimes I just can’t find at all the part that causes issues 2) if the drop is big (like in example image) logics smoothing may leave multiple smaller peaks after drawing and the poppin sound doesn’t dissapear, but finding the spot again might be impossible. Unfortunately I didn’t know how many steps there were in waveform editor, so couple clips are now ”cracking” even more than they were before my rescue attemps.
  13. I can check the drivers... Not sure what you mean by edit to zero crossing? I had no problems when i recorded drums. After that I have had problems with every track. Also in the project space designer in my bus track gets often distorted. After I have freezed all recorded audio and midi tracks there hasn’t been anymore issues with it, but I’m wondering could it cause this kind of problems?
  14. In my latest project I have found that in couple tracks there are cracking sounds on my recorded tracks (approximately once in twenty seconds). Looking at the waveform looks like there are samples missing from the track. I get no warnings, I notice the problem only when listening recoded take. My soundcard I used to record everything is Rolands octa capture. Since I'm travelling lot, I'm using sometimes my old Alesis io2 sound card and also laptops internal sound card to listen this project. The problem is sometimes clearly visible on the track (like in the attachment file) and sometimes saveable with pencil tool, but not always. Sometimes there is just very tiny peak that causes the problem. Any ides how to get rid of this problem? I don't want to ruin great take because some cracking sounds, or spend hours to fix those tiny peaks all over the project .
  15. Thanks, now I think I got everything working again.
