  1. I'm not sure I'm following here, I need the original track to play as well. I want 1 instrument to play four notes with different panning individually. What I'm doing in the picture illustrates individual panning not working. What I'm doing right now is like u said duplicating the track so I can have different automation on them but that increases the cpu-load. (I hope what I'm saying makes sense 😅) I guess the only way to make this work is to bounce/freeze each track on a less powerfull machine.
  2. Thanks guys, that's gonna save me so much time. Had to change the key-command though because I'm on Belgian azerty keyboard.
  3. Hi, I've been trying to find a efficient way of doing this for a while now. When doing sound design I often record long takes, cut out little pieces of regions I like and then put them all together in a row to experiment with them. Problem is, these are a lot of very small pieces, scattered over a very long track. If I want to move them together I have to zoom in on them to be able to grab them, zoom out again and then drag them al the way to the beginning of my project. The best workaround I've found so far is to use 'move to playhead' so I can drag over regions to select them and move them by alt+cmd+left, but I keep wondering if there isn't a faster way to do this. If only there was a function that would move all regions to the left putting them all together in a row. Any ideas to speed up this process? Thanks in advance !
  4. If you make a new track with the same instrument, can you have different automation on each track? I have a chord playing but would like to make each individual note pan differently; the only way I know to make this work is to duplicate my instrument 4 times, but my poor old mac is already struggling since I'm working in 24b 96Khz 😅 for sampling purpose. Any Ideas?
  5. Ah, thanks for answering anyway David !
  6. This needs to be on for it to display when click and holding it.
  7. Ah there it is. I could not see it because I needed to select 'view help tags' in my General Display preferences. Thank u Hmowday !
  8. I must be missing something here. I'm viewing the second ruler, Where does it show that? I only get values as in the picture of my display in the control bar; no region length and end-position only in measures.
  9. Hi, I would like to know the length of a selected region in time. I already found this post on the matter: But when I click and hold the region I only get the starting position in time/measure and begin and start-position in measures(can u change this to time to?). David also speaks of a note-icon button I cannot find it. Not a big issue since I can do basic math 😝 but the geek in me wants to know if there is a faster way. I am doing foley work and I want to re-record some background-noise the client isn't happy with and I want to know how long it needs to be.
  10. Moved on because my problem was fixed, can't remember how I made that happenend, sorry! 😅 It seems to me that having fade-values can lead to unexpected behaviour when re-arranging regions.
  11. Thanks David, there was a fade-out value in there I wasn't aware of. removing it made it repeat regularly.
  12. When I repeat a region, it leaves a gap and it inserts an x-fade as if it was overlapping? (I have auto x-fade on overlap on) I have a movie project in there, could it be related to snapping to frames or something? All help appreciated!
  13. Still doesn't work 5 years later or am I missing something? Is there a work-around ?
  14. Right! Thanks again and have a nice day !
