  1. What should i do man ? I did what eric said And i wrote what halpened in the Last comments
  2. Im kinda feelin like the volume meters are refreshing faster Everyone knows Lower resolution = better performance but the GPU in this imac is Way too power ful For lagging in logic x on 2/5k default resolution theres no way the GPU is the bottle neck and Logic is an application from apple so I cant believe they didnt optimize it for Their Highest end latest normal 27inch imac
  3. I tried what eric said ran it in low res mode and Its almost gone still A bit laggy but Its 95percent Gone And im not believing that A radeon pro 580 with 8gigs of Video memory cant run logic in 2/5K this has to be a bug or something but I still dont know what this is coming from still got doubts
  4. Man i Searched the logic x file copied it to desk top and Moved it to applications folder (i downloaded logic from app store and dont remmeber moving it out Of there Ever any ways i copied this into applications folder ) removes the Logic icon from the task bar and Now I manually put back logic in applications folder And again the lag is fully gone Its performing like my macbook pro No lag even when fully zoomed and Im almost sure the fusion is causing this mess so my strategy to beat this would be: set logic pro x as a start up item so its always in my Most Accessed Files and never moves to hdd Get an external ssd (which is expensive reallyyyyy expensiveee but if this gets it fixed im getting it) This happened before The lag randomly disappears and I think the first time this happened Was when inmoved logic to the applications folder or somehing so im assuming this is Related to fusion will be tryeing the command I and running in low res mode once the Lag is back and will report to you That is, if im alive You never know whats gonna halpes God bless bro And best wishes❤️
  5. Wow this is the first time in seeing this Theres no logic pro x Icon in applications folder in finder but i can access it from launchpad(using 4fingers gesture) Im almost sure logic x is in the applications folder but i cant see it !!!! And i found a usb3.1 ssd drive which is really super expensive but has 850mb/s read and super high write speeds I dont know if it works with my 2017 imac But if it works im buying this
  6. My book is a beginner book, it covers a lot of material from foundations (navigation, zooming, UI etc....) to recording/editing audio and MIDI, time and pitch manipulation including pitch correction, Flex editing, Flex Pitch, Groove Tracks, VariSpeed, arranging, mixing and automation. I also show a lot of key command because IMO it's a great way to make your workflow more efficient. More than a reference, it's tutorial based, meaning it goes through a lot of examples and exercises based on professional multi-track sessions that are included with the purchase of the book. Thanks man but i dont think im buying this Cause im a medical student and at the same time i study music theory and logic so i wont have much time To go over the basics just to make it more effecient appreciate Your explanation and your book also cause this Can get somebody talented into music production but surly imeach book has its own target audiences if a book is a beginner book it doesnt mean its bad But for me I need something More If you know any courses etc(free and online or as a pdf which i can download via ibooks cause i dont have a credit card and all i can buy is itunes gift cards so it must be free or purchasable via itunes giftcards) And if you could Give me some advise on how to get rid of this scrolling lag(while fully zooming) that wiuld be great im planning to buy an external 256gb ssd and run projects from there
  7. Man is your logic pro 10.3 book a beginner book or something or its a complete book cause im looking for a conplete professional book for logic i already know how to chop up samples Automation How to create a new track or record audio! But i dont know maybe the 90 percent of the details Which i have to discover yet ive mixed and produced stuff on logic but i need something that fully goes over every shortcut key every detail of this and every stock plug in from Ultra beat to exs24 to pitch correction rtcbthanks in advance bro
  8. Hi again man Sorry could you please read my last comment In this thread cause this thing really disappointed me having spent almost 4000dollars on this This is really messed up i cant even zoom in and sanple smoothly on this because of this bug and zim sure its not a cpu throttlinn issue its the Best cpu you can get on a 27inch imac (4.2ghz i7 quad core)with 16gb ram and its working fine for almost everything else
  9. No i havent but Isnt 16gb enough? And the machine is perfectly healthy And Im running the latest logic on high sierra So I dont think some Junior advisor can do anything about it I bought thisfornlogic and The only thing that doesnt run correctly is Logic Plus I think Splitting Up the project files might have some effect on the performance i mean running the projects from hdd while the logic it self in on ssd Can have its effects right? Or maybe i should upgrade to 32gb? I dont know man Youre The Certified Logic Trainer im almost sure Those Apple support people wont be able to say any thing other than resset the smc Or pram which doesnt solve anything since the machine is running perfectly fine already and i dont think its egen 2 month old...
  10. Hi guys this is my first tune posting here i run logic on 2mac:s one is a 2014 15 inch rMBP With i7 2.5ghz 16gb ram 512gb SSD i guess The other one is a 2017 almosf maxed out imac 5k 27inch with 4.2ghz i7 Radeon pro 580 16gb ram 3tb fusion drive The rmbp runs logic perfectly fine but on the higher end imac There is scroll lag and Laggy raphics if i zoom too much and hit play this doesnt happen on the rmbp i think this is because of the fusion drive cause The imac works perfectly i can play most 2017 games almost maxed out 1440p but Although it performs fine if I dont zoom too much it Runs Fine but Zooming into audio tracks and Hiting play after zooming Fully Will cause Graphical lags So my question is Do you think buying a 128 external ssd with 400+mb/s read and write speeds Could get this solved I can copy the last projects to the ssd Nd run them from there while keeping logic X on the internal drive
