  1. SNAP function I'm sure doesn't work sanely. When using Absolute mode; Snap to beat doesn't seem to snap to the BEAT, it seems to skip beats and place either side of where a beat should be. When using Relative mode; Causes problems as it's very difficult to get logic to snap consistently to the beat as its using relative settings so I find it's snap alignment/quantisation seems to drift over time but its so small you don't realise it until you zoom all the way in and see it off alignment, Why? It's making me ill. Any suggestions on using it better?
  2. Hi, I'm working with hardware synths controlled both from an MPC Live and Sequenced from Logic and I'm struggling to find an ideal setup but I'm sure it's just my unfamiliarity of the situation or Logic etc. I want to track into Logic Pro X via my RME Fireface. - Problem : If I use RME Total mix routing at driver level (which is ideal as my DAW/PC then doesn't need to be on for me to play ) then I decided now I want to track some stuff into Logic Pro, I record a few Midi sequenced synths in.. - Play it back and now I get double output, naturally the sequenced part still running through total mix (independent of DAW) as the MPC Syncs with Logic Midi clock and MMC and also the recorded part from the DAW - so 2x output. - So I think okay maybe I switch to DAW mode on total mix and route internally via Logic Pro - which actually doesn't really work that well because Arm track and input monitoring doesn't always seem to work 100% so sometimes there's sound sometimes there isn't despite all tracks being armed and input monitoring on. I'm not sure if this is a Logic bug or I'm doing something wrong. So I would like to know if you guys have any suggestions, if maybe some of you have a similar hardware setup and can offer experience./knowledge or indeed anyone more familiar with Total mix perhaps could offer some mixing options that could help. PS I'never really had this issue before as my Audient only had 2x inputs so I routed everything just via 1 track and didn't yet try multi tracking it as I honed my hardware playing skills whilst I waited and waited until I got an interface with more inputs, Thanks in advance
  3. Hi guys Since updating to 10.4 I can no longer control click in a drum designer cell to select 'Create track' - The 'Create Track' option is no longer there. This is on a custom or factory kit. Secondly, if I load an empty kit, then load up a couple samples, say a a kick and snare, do a region on the main DMD track including both kick and snare, when I then 'separate by note pitch' to split the kick and snare out to separate tracks it creates 3x audio tracks that seem to be "locked together" as any volume change or pan change affects all three. This also seems to be happening behind the scenes because the output of custom samples clips to 6db, regardless of sample volume being normalised and cell volume being on 0.0db. Its literally screwed... Can anyone else replicate this? Unless I'm crazy (because I've been trying to resolve it all evening) I'm heading over to NI battery ASAP.
  4. Hello guys New Logic user here. Wanted to pop in and say hello and introduce myself as I'll be sticking around the forums. My journey started over 15 years ago DJ'ing and trying out what was then 'fruity loops' - well I got the production bug that day. Since then I've gone on to own thus use Ableton Live, Cubase (SX3 to Pro 8) Magix Samplitude, Studio One and now Logic, I'm not a DAW jumper but events, and opportunities along with new ventures helped shaped and sometimes even dictate my DAW software (I got Studio one for free for instance at a time when I was re-evaluting and downsizing on everything music including my software). I've spent a number of years with each product so know them pretty well. Well, since a new business venture a couple years ago had me use a MacBook I ended up falling in love with Mac OS, its stability and ease of use and integration with iOS. Up until that point I'd been a long time apple "hater", admittedly it was fear through ignorance, I'd never tried an Apple product beyond the iPhone but now own both a MacBook Pro and iMac 2017! Phasing out my Windows PC meant I had to choose a Mac compatible DAW. Wanting to match Mac OS stability, Logic Pro was the logical and obvious choice. So I purchased it and have been on it for a couple of weeks now and really enjoying it. Love the included plugins and of course love the stability. Refreshing. Very happy to be here.
  5. If it's a software instrument track it could be that due to by default Logic adds it (the track) with send enabled on bus 2 with a reverb present?
