  1. Thank you - I checked it out online and they had a free trial so I signed up and WOW - it worked perfectly - thanks so much for the tip and the offer
  2. I've got a recorded song that I'm changing the guitar parts for a different vibe but the recorded drum overheads have the original guitar parts bleeding thru. I've tried a noise gate but did not have much luck, tried surgical EQ and again no luck. Might just be stuck with it but thought I'd check for any ideas. The bleed runs thru the whole track not just at quiet moments. Using the latest version of Logic Pro x Thanks -
  3. I have a project in Logic Pro X 10.6.1 running on a 2019 Macbook Air. The display tempo is the default 120 BPM. I ran the BPM meter on the bass track and its 106.8 BPM I'm at the editing stage and would like to have the bars match up to the Arrangement for some cutting and pasting. Is there a way to make the display and the bars at 106.8 BPM and not affect the existing audio tracks? I've searched but have not seen this exact situation described. Thanks!
  4. Not sure how this happened but how do I get it back to 0. As it is now the song starts at the -2 Using latest Logic Pro X and Catalina
  5. I imported tracks from a recording session - used the Logic Pro BPM function to get the correct tempo - 92.5 - but my default tempo in the project is 120. How do I adjust that such that the tracks are not altered in any way, just the bar markers are changed so they align properly with the song for edits. Thanks!
  6. Just checking to see if an Air is adequate for small projects - no synths, 10-12 tracks total on a project ......... thanks!
  7. I'm current on Logic Pro X with version 10.4.6 and I'm running it on a 2012 MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM, a 1 TB SSD Drive and Mojave 10.14.5. I've been told this is the last OS update that will work on my machine so I have been thinking of getting a new Macbook. My machine has better specs than the new ones unless I pay a lot for RAM and Hard drive upgrades. I get overload messages occasionally which is baffling because I use very few plugs ins, never record more than 1 track at a time and am never mixing more than 15 tracks on any one song and never use synths. Any suggestions on how to keep moving forward and using Logic Pro and keeping it updated? thanks - Don
  8. Friends, I'm trying to join several regions in 1 bass guitar track that include volume automations and I want the volume automations to be incorporated into the new track. If I just join the regions the resulting file is 1 region but still shows the volume automation movements. If I export the track and click include volume automations its a stereo track. Ideally I'd like to leave it in place rather than export and the created file reflect the volume automations but the volume automation line be flat. Is this the convert feature? Help! I'm using Logic Pro X 10.4.4.
  9. Hello everyone! I want to do some editing and mixing on a song recorded at another studio on another DAW. I have all the wav files all with the same starting point. The project was recorded live without the aid or a metronome but a pretty steady drummer :>). My default in Logic Pro X with a new project is 120 BPM. This new project is around 94BPM. I want to figure out the best way LPX can analyze the imported files and adjust the project tempo so I can layout my arrangement and do some cutting and pasting between the 3 guitar takes to assemble the best of the takes - obviously this is easier if the markers are positioned properly with the tempo of the song. There seem to be a lot of adjustments and options and I'm confused the proper steps so any help would be appreciated!
  10. I imported some audio files without realizing they were stereo into a Logic Pro X project. I've done some edits etc and now realized I need to convert to mono. Here is a screenshot of what the files look like: Is there a way to convert to mono at this point? thanks!
  11. So I have a recorded live guitar and vocal on 1 audio track. It was not done with a metornome or click track. Is there a way to add a drummer like you can in the Music Memos app that will automatically adapt to the tempo of the recorded track and play along? If not, how can I have Logic Pro X determine the Tempo of the audio file. Thanks!
  12. I like to build tracks off a metronome beat but wondered if there is a way to use a snare or kick drum or hi hat or some other drum element instead of the click of a metronome? If thats possible - could some one point me to a tutorial? Thank!
  13. I like the gain plugin now that i understand it can be automated - i'll try the track stack too
  14. track stacks are new to me - where would i find instructions
  15. so a gain plug in would enable me to adjust the overall volume of the track while still retaining the automation. i would not make any adjustments to the fader at that point, just to the gain plugin?
