  1. Sorry for the late reply, I'm currently very busy with private stuff. The File menu does not change when I chose File > New. And there is still no New Track dialog the opens.
  2. As stated already, I do only have the MBP, no external monitor attached, only one desktop.
  3. For what it's worth, I reinstalled OSX Ventura by rebooting in recovery mode. Rebooted agin in recovery to run Disk Utility's First Aid. Installed Logic Pro X once more, and it still does not work. I'll try with an external HD, once I get my hands onto one. But I don't have much hope. We'll see.
  4. Yes, the settings work. I'll try that when I have the chance. What if that works then? 😉
  5. Even double clicking a Logic project file does not open it in Logic. Logic starts, and then ... nothing.
  6. Just one Disk (1TB, about 600GB free), AFPS formatted. Logic ran on this machine before. I've no idea why it doesn't anymore. Just did another First Aid with Disk Utility. Logic still does not work. Might as well switch to another DAW. Might be less of an issue than getting Logic Pro back up and running *sighs*
  7. David, I've done that at least 3 times already. Tried to remove everything that belonged to Logic. Preferences, Sounds, Patches, Instruments... even after a fresh install I get this darn behaviour.
  8. I'd need to install Rosetta for that. Never used it, and I don't think installing that now would change anything.
  9. Yeah, my signature was from another age 😉 I just deleted it. I'm using the latest OSX and the latest version of Logic Pro X
  10. oh, Core Audio was already disabled. I now enabled it and it now shows a window "Updating Information about Audio Unit plug-ins...". Which right now only crashed the auvaltool. And keeps doing that (I get like 10 to 15 auvaltools in my Force Quit Applications window. Logic is shown as not responding. And my fans are on. Was able to quit Logic Pro, after a window popping up, notifying me about some plugins not working. And now.. same issue. Seems we're onto something now.
  11. Sadly not. I don't even get a window letting me choose such an option. Tried control, alt, shift-control. Nothing changes the described issue.
  12. Now that you're saying that... last time Logic worked for me (even when the library was kinda... gone), Logic got stuck verifying Plugins. I had to force quit logic, then run it again. That's when I got this issue. I removed Logic Pro completely (I think) from my Mac and reinstalled it. No change.
  13. That would require to have the File - New command working. I wish...
  14. Right, I tried it with my admin account. Same issue. I created a new user account. Same issue. Logic starts without any window, using File - New does not work. Logic won't do anything else than starting my MBP's fans. Activity monitor says 100% CPU usage. I'm stuck 😉
