  1. I recently upgraded to 10.6. Since 10.4.8. I have noticed that Solo and Mute were now part of the undo history, which baffles me. When I try to mix or just plain edit tracks, I solo and mute them all the time. However, I'm not interested in those functions when I undo an action. Now, if I want to go back to a previous edit, I have to first undo 10 steps of Solo and Mute. Which means my undo history has to be loaded with so many steps it's frustrating, and I'm scared to press solo and mute one too many times. Anyone know how to get around this? I don't really want to exclude the mixer altogether in the undo history, because it contains a lot of other stuff that I want present, like volume and pan changes. I would appreciate some help here if someone knows how to set the customise the edit function. Thank you!
  2. This! We need this. It's not that I can't read chords, but when adding voices to a predefined chord prog that lasts for 4 mins, I would love to not have to go through the whole thing. Maybe Logic thinks we're all songwriters who do standard ABACA...:/
  3. Oh, that is even easier! Thank you so much, this solved my problem quick and easy!
  4. To revive this old thread: there seems to be a new layout in 10.4.6. for the transformer in the environment. Could someone please tell me how to assign the mod wheel to a new cc through the transformer parameters? I don't understand which is the mod wheel - I can only see pitch bend in the list.
  5. Totally agree. I have select region on track enabled, and if I arrow key down to the respective track to work on the region where the playhead is situated, I get the beginning of for instance bar 1 and have to click and unclick the catch playhead button. I don't want it to scroll with playhead though. Niggle, but really annoying!
  6. Oh sorry. When I add in audio files to a project (Finder or Logic browser). I have unchecked the "copy audio files" under assets in project settings.
  7. Old thread, but I have the problem that Logic 10.4.6. copies files into project folder even when this box is unchecked in both project settings individually and project settings for the template. Any workarounds for this one...? Bouncing game loops leads to a lot of rebounces to get tails right, and my project folder quickly gets clogged with 10 versions - super hard to navigate when in a hurry.
  8. Oh no. Report and start over it is then.
  9. Yes. but this happens when I edit other tracks - unfrozen ones. So the frozen tracks have not been touched at all, and still it refreezes each time. Also, I thought that I had to manually refreeze a track after unfreezing it? Here is what I do: 1) Click snowflake to freeze 2) Wait for freeze 3) Edit other tracks that aren't frozen 4) Playback - and Logic freezes...something... without me choosing to do so. The original frozen tracks were not unfrozen, and still it does this. Or: 1) Click snowflake to freeze 2) Wait for freeze 3) Unfreeze track to edit it (but not freezing it again, because I'm still editing it) 4) Playback - and Logic freezes ...something... again. So - I cannot hear any of my edits without Logic freezing something that I didn't ask it to do, because the second I hit play, it is doing the freeze cycle again.
  10. Ok, additional info: It's seemingly 'just' when I have done something, like edited an unfrozen track. Which equals every time, but it seems to not happen if I don't touch anything. (Which is never)
  11. I have a project where something abnormal seems to be happening and I can't figure out why: I have a project with multiple instances of Izotope Breaktweaker and Vocalsynth, with 10 audio tracks, ca 25 midi tracks, and plenty of sends. It is weighing on my cpu, so I often use freeze. However, this one project (and its duplicate) refreezes tracks on EACH playback, even if I didn't touch the frozen tracks. I have tried freezing both at Source only and Pre Fader, and it makes no difference. This project just won't do it in the normal way, and it hasn't been the case before - I often use Freeze, also in the current version. I'm therefore guessing there is something in my project, but I'm not able to find out. Is there anyone that can help? I am hesitant to move it all to a new project, as I have a large amount of automation set up. But this drives me crazy, especially when I have multiple tracks frozen (but didn't touch neither of them), and it refreezes for 2 minutes or so.
  12. Thanks! Delete via the event list worked. I am using that way too little. The actual delete key in the track itself/with point selected does not, neither does the eraser tool nor double click the pointer on the tempo point. So that is probably is a bug then. Thank you!
  13. Extra info: The message is that there are multiple tempo events, but there aren't any but the very first point. This is the one I'd like to delete, but I haven't found a delete all tempo info option.
  14. Alright, so I have taken painstakingly long to set up my template (gradual changes over a year or so). For some reason, a tempo track got stored a few projects ago without my intention, and now every time I set a new BPM at 1.1.1.1. I get the message that there is tempo information in the tempo track and I often have to drag this very imprecise tool to change the BPM at all. All I want is to delete the current information, but it doesn't budge. Is there a secret trick? I would love to get back to just typing in a BPM in the display and not having to deal with the tempo track if I only have one tempo in a project. Then again - I don't want to start over with my template, really... Please help!
