  1. Hi! I’m working on a mix that I can’t seem to get right, there is a digital “sizzle” over the whole thing and I can’t seem to get the depth and punch I’m used to. sounds like a low rate mp3. The thing is I recorded the lead vocals and midi drums via my laptop which was accidentialy set to 16 bit recording. I have then imported the vocal and midi track to my studio computer which is set to 24 bit and finished the rest of the tracks. So, the lead vocal is not 24 bit, but the whole mix, mastered and finished, sounds 16bit. Is it possible that the lead vocal track downgrades the whole project to 16? In other words, do I have to start over or will a new 24 bit vocal recording solve this eventual problem? Many thanks!
  2. Thanks for your input Eric! So a setup that previously worked fine, and now without any changes doesn't, is completely normal? How do you see the plugins latency while hovering over? Is it when placing the pointer over the plugin name in the channel strip? Where does the latency show? I cannot see it. However, I disabled every single plugin and send from output down to each channel strip, and the latency is still unchanged, so I still believe there is some setting that has changed during a recent update. Any more troubleshooting suggestions?
  3. Hi Eric, thanks for the reply. Fixed the signature. As LLM disables different stuff such as sends, it messes up volumes and effects, but of course only while tracking. I´d rather fix the underlying problem settling with the LLM function i´ve never had to use before. Thing is, this has come suddenly and across most of my projects, even finished ones that i´ve completed without any problems what so ever. Something has happened.
  4. Hi guys, sorry to have to bore you with yet another latency issue. I've read and read on the forums trying different stuff but no luck. So, I'm running latest OS and Logic with a Saffire pro 40, and all of the sudden most of my projects have latency issues on both midi and audio. Low latency mode works (messing up the mix while tracking), but it doesn't solve the underlying problem. I've been running fairly heavy projects with perfect latency up until now, and suddenly even a lot lighter projects have problems. I've tried to switch of all the plugins to see if there is an issue there, but no fix. I´ve hade this problem in the past, solving it by ticking the "Preferences->audio->plugin latency ->all" button (I think...?), but no such luck this time. Its driving me crackers. Any suggestions? Best regards Sev
