  1. Ye its kind of true. Ive been coming back to Pro Tools the last year as well for some post production work which just would be a nightmare in logic. But also with the new "session musician tracks" - lets preface by saying I love the drummer track and I'm using it not just to generate midi for drums, but rhythmic patterns in general (it can be a really interesting compositional tools in combination with other midi fx etc.). But I don't get why they now opted to go for a bassist and keys. What would actually be useful imo would be a string section animator, because that stuff is manual labor and lots of it with all the articulations, dynamic rides etc. I'd much rather have some tools to animated my already existing midi and make it more realistic feeling.
  2. You're right doing that right now.
  3. I think (I am not 100% on this), the "new" Apple File System saves every single step, so this is very odd and I'm definitely interested in how this turns out, even though I'm not really able to help here. That time interval from recording that take to the session closing out is probably also something a local Time Machine snapshot wouldn't have caught
  4. I 100% agree. The utility and workflow stuff. Stuff like being able to drag sends from one track to another, stuff like better navigation tools or doing markers like Pro Tools did recently, introducing a search function for plugin inserts.. oddly enough that is the kind of stuff that would make me REAL exited
  5. I know there is a 3rd party app for this, but HOW can apple do all that stuff (I AM happy there is a bigger update, also chord track is back yay) but still we aren't able to use a search to insert plugins!! Also (I hope I didn't get this wrong): Still not able to move tracks in mixer view probably, still not able to copy or move sends on tracks probably. Kinda weird priorities feels like they try to tailor logic more and more towards people who are new at producing (which ofc isn't inherently a bad thing).
  6. I agree with all ya'll and just wanted to get a grasp on how song other long time users feel about this. Funnily enough though, shortly after I posted this, we got 10.8 xD
  7. So i‘ve been using Logic for at least 7 years now and initially I just bought it for f‘in around but then soon realized it‘s being developed like crazy with huge updates like 2-3 times a year. The last year I really feel like it‘s gotten real quiet. Honestly it has gotten to a point where I am so seriously getting back into PT (I know—but Pro tools has gotten a lot of improvements the last few years). I use PT for post only (for me personally producing and writing with lots of digital instruments is still horrible in PT), but now that Cubase 13 is out I am seriously eyeing that for production. What do ya‘ll think: Am I being paranoid?
  8. The issue is still there apparently, encountered it yesterday on M1 (also in an old Logic Project). I mean honestly I love logic but I've been working in PT the last few months and damn that Melodyne integration is pretty nice.
  9. Thanks David yeah that makes sense I just wanted to be sure and I never juggled files that hard in logic before xD
  10. So I've got this session that has previously been split up into multiple individual project files. So we got 1 audio file folder and multiple project files. Now the thing is the Project file that contained everything is about 5GB, but the individual sessions are also around 4,85GB each. Now I went looking for why this is and dove into the package content of the split up projects and found that it seems to be the project alternatives. My question is (and sorry if this has been answered before) - can I safely delete the unused project alternatives without f*in with the other individual project files? I think I can honestly but the reason I'm unsure is when I go into the clean up features it references the files within the "common" audio file folder (so I definitely can't use the session cleanup feature here). Would it maybe help to consolidate each of the individually split up projects to a new location (maybe this way it just copies the files that are actually being used within that project file?) I know it's kind of a mess but since I always got really helpful replies here I'm gonna give it a shot ❤️
  11. Haha no sorry maybe a bit unclear - the issue was gone after reboot!
  12. I had the same issue today, just wanted to add what I did so maybe someone doesn't panic. Sent myself the session via email directly from logic, then rebooted Mac (m1). Gone.
  13. Sure me2 so I can sell the ProQ why not.
  14. You basically just want Pro-Q3 for free, right?
  15. Got the same problem. I think it's probably just bottlenecking the machine way harder because it's a lot to process. Definately gonna follow this conversation.
