  1. Thanks for the clarity! Looks like it'd be a good idea to learn Ultrabeat. Any books on the topic?
  2. Thanks for the explanation. Sounds like it’s a tool worth learning. Do you personally prefer UltraBeat for your drum programming and sequencing?
  3. As a relative newbie it’s seems that ultrabeat is a very detailed drum synth, sample player with a step sequencer, yes? What is it capable of accomplishing that the newer step sequencer, dmd and drum synth aren’t able to do? Is it worth still learning is what I guess I’m getting at? Thanks for the reply.
  4. Hi all, just curious to see how people feel in regards to the new dmd and drumsynth features and if there is any real reason to use ultrabeat now? I am just curious to know if ultrabeat still has a place within Logic or if it was left there for legacy users?
  5. Yes the manual has been updated with all the 10.5 stuff in iBooks. Thank you. I tend to like to flip pages when learning stuff however. I'm a bit old school/ analog in that regard.
  6. Yes, I am working on writing an updated book for 10.5, it should be out in July. What key command have you noticed changed from 10.4? Well, I haven't had the time to really explore (currently moving out of state) but when I updated I believe it asked if I wanted to keep the old key commands or use the new ones. Either way I'm very excited to buy your book for myself and a friend who is very new to Logic Pro X!
  7. Is there a manual/tutorial book forthcoming for the 10.5 update? I have noticed that the hot keys among other things have been changed.

  9. Hi all, I am a proud owner Logic Pro X 10.3 Apple Pro Training Series Book that I purchased from Peachpit in the summer of 2017. I did not get around to opening it until just recently, but I also updated Logic to the most recent version (10.4). In anyones's opinion, will I still be able to learn everything with the book that I currently own, or would you say that the 10.4 book is absolutely essential to being able to learn Logic properly now? I am very excited to get started, and I find David's instructional methods compelling and concise. I would be really grateful for any feedback so I know how to proceed. Thank you so much for your time. Mateo
