  1. I get this lag too. I’m using Logic Remote (LR) 1.5.3 on an iPad Pro 12.9” 2nd generation with a 2020 iMac Mini M1 8 gb RAM running Monterrey 12.5 and LPX 10.7.5 though I also get the same lag issues on mid-2011 iMac with the latest High Sierra and LPX 10.4. I also tried with an iPad Air 5th generation and same computers. The issue is that after about 10-15 minutes of LR running perfectly I’ll notice that the faders on LR simply stop affecting LPX. I’ll swipe up and down on the fader, pans, sends, basically any knob or slider but it doesn’t affect LPX. Then the LR channel names stop updating properly when swiping through the channels on the mixer. When I tap on a channel in LR it will select a different channel on LPX. Sometimes some LR faders will be stuck at the bottom of the channel at negative infinity db though LPX shows the fader is at whatever I set it too (not negative infinity db). The pans for some channels will be hard left. Other times in the mixer I’ll try to swipe over to another channel but it slingshots me back to where I’m swiping from. This happens when I use the black bar as well. Other times some meters simply don’t update properly. Everything else in LR works perfectly fine, it’s just the mixer window that goes wonky. All of the above craziness sometimes stops after about 5-10 minutes; other times I just give up and come back later. I’ve tried restarting the app but it still resumes where it left off. I’ve tried completely restarting my computer and that usually fixes it. One major thing I noticed is that LR on my iPhone works perfectly the entire time and never bugs out. The mixer in the LPX template in TouchOSC mk2 also works perfectly the whole time and never bugs out. The only iPad controller that does this crazy lagging for me is LR on iPadOS
  2. If you go the iPad route, you can use Logic Remote like you mentioned. There are also a lot of MIDI apps ranging from step sequencers to piano rolls to other random creative stuff. MIDI Designer Pro 2 and Lemur (though it seems like the Lemur community is dead) are great for creating your own control surfaces if you don’t want to use Logic Remote. You just need to make sure that you make the proper connections in the Logic MIDI environment and then you’re good to go.
  3. To confirm, using Shift+Option+drag worked for me! The only downside is that I can't directly edit the alias in order to edit all of the aliases and original, meaning I have to find the original MIDI region in order to edit all of the aliases. Thanks!
  4. So if I option+shift+drag to bar 17, then if I edit bar 17 then the original one at bar 1 will mirror the same exact edits? Not in front of Logic right now so I forgot which exact key+mouse combo I’m using. I’ve been using the key+mouse drag combo that shows a little green plus sign when I drag the region to a different part of the song. However, the edits on one region are not mirrored on the other, original region. Thanks.
  5. I would like to create a MIDI region that I can copy to other places in my track and only have to edit one of regions so that all of them are edited. For example, I want to create a MIDI region that has a basic 4/4 kick and place the region on bar 1. Then I ctrl+drag the region to bar 17 so that its identical to the one on bar 1. Now, I want go to the MIDI region on bar 17 and delete 2 of the kicks which will also cause the MIDI region on bar 1 to also have 2 deleted kicks. Now both MIDI regions have 2 kicks instead of 4 kicks simply by editing one of the MIDI regions. These types of linked MIDI regions can also be found in the iOS apps Xequence 2 and NanoStudio 2 so I’m wondering if the same thing is available in Logic. I’m currently using Logic 10.4.6 on High Sierra. Thanks.
  6. I think the common workaround is to save the channel strip settings.
  7. Is there any way to make the plugins, whether they’re instruments or FX, take up the whole screen so I can just swipe left and right like I can do with a separate piano roll window? I see I can change the view in increments of 25% up to 200%, but then I’m left with the weird balancing act of making sure the knobs/sliders near the bottom aren’t cut off. EDIT: Using a 21-inch 2011 iMac, High Sierra 10.13.6, and LPX 10.4.7.
  8. Yes, you can use IDAM to carry the audio from the iOS synths to Logic (or any other DAW). IDAM basically treats your iDevice like an audio device such as a hardware synth. You can also send MIDI to your iOS synths using IDAM. As far fidelity, that’s still not completely certain. Some people say it’s as good as desktop VST’s, others say they are still lower fidelity. The best way to compare them is probably to just use a single saw oscillator without any FX on your desktop VST and iOS device and note any differences.
  9. Did you ever get this plugin working with Lauchpad Pro and Logic Pro X?
  10. Got it to work...I just had to delete then reload MIDI instrument /smackmyhead
  11. When a MIDI instrument is playing it will randomly decrease in volume or completely stop playing. I had a song running perfectly fine on Thursday night, then I updated yesterday and now random instruments will just stop playing at random points during the song. This is happening on multiple songs. I haven't tried audio clips yet. Also, Logic Remote is not properly updating the FX window and customized Smart Controls are taking a very long time to show up, if at all.
