  1. Basically yes, I suck at maths. Also I’d have to go fetch the info on mic placement from the recorder etc. My solution was just way easier and quicker.
  2. Thank you! This is unfortunately way above my paygrade as I'm not experienced enough to understand/make this happen. I think I just came up with a solution though. Get a blend I like between them, bounce them into 1 then quantize just the 1 file.
  3. Hey all! I have recording of top and bottom mic where the drummer is playing 16th notes and I quantized both regions and now it sounds like they have a phaser or something on them. What can I do to make them sound good but quantized? Cheers, Yab
  4. Thank you! This is above my paygrade of understanding but I'm sure it'd work. Yes I've noticed that the sound is less clear after using it. Could that be remedied by just using an EQ after flex and boost 9k and up by 1.5db?
  5. Thanks! I messed around with Melodyne when it first came out but never really got into it, maybe because of the interface. I really like that flex is integrated into logic if you know what I mean. Might give Melodyne another go though is I'm not getting the results I need with flex.
  6. Hey all! So I'm editing my vocal and want to use flex pitch in certain words/phrases but for some reason flex pitch seems to be adding some weird distortion in the high frequencies on the s, sh and t sounds. My solution to this is now to split the track and separate all the s, sh and t sounds into their own regions and turn off flex pitch on those. Do I have to do this by hand or is there some automatic function that can do this for me? And any tips on getting flex pitch not to distort the sound would be great too. Thanks Yab
  7. Thanks! It's as soon as KK loads. Not sure which plugin is inside it to be honest but I suppose it's something as it's a sound I've used, not by that mac now to check. I gave up and sent my new mac back and ordered a bigger one(1gb ram as my imac has so I can make a time machine copy and just upload it on the new one and HOPEFULLY everything will run smoothly.)
  8. Hey all! Just wonderin' if there are any news on this topic since this discussion was had? Cheers, Yab
  9. Hi all! I get an error message when I try to open Komplete Kontrol in Logic Pro X. It says something like "An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart Logic Pro." And I get the option to Quit Logic or Recover. Before this I got a black square that said Komplete Kontrol but there were no parameters/info or anything. I've just switched Mac from Imac 2017 to Mac Mini M2 Pro. I've tried giving full disk access and also deleted some plist files etc. Any ideas? Thanks for reading, Dan I did a rescan and this is the (crash?)report: "validating Audio Unit Komplete Kontrol by Native Instruments: AU Validation Tool Version: 1.10.0 Copyright 2003-2019, Apple Inc. 10. So I'm looking to buy a new mac for using logic with. I have a 2017 imac retina with 32gb ram. It can't handle all my native instruments komplete and izotope plugins after a while. Would buying a mac mini pro m2 10 core etc be enough and a big upgrade? Thanks
  11. Hi all! So in the pitch correction mode in the editor window I see the line of the pitch and then blocks around it. Is it possible to hide the blocks and only see the line? Thanks, Yab
