  1. Does anyone know how I can hide or delete rests when adding repeat slashes in the score editor? I would have expected a repeat slash would replace any rest of the same duration, but instead they just sit on top of the rests and look awful.
  2. It's a bug - I posted about it before, and loads of others have encountered the same thing. Hopefully Apple now have an avalanche of bug reports...
  3. Another six people today with the same issue - the update is fantastic but it feels like Apple didn't really battle-test this on proper projects.
  4. I've asked on the apple forum - is there an official, more urgent place for bug reports?
  5. Ok, it just happened barely 10 minutes after opening a project, with no sleep or other interruption.
  6. weirdly, pressing record still works (the track plays ok)
  7. Yes! I have this too - so far only restarting Logic fixes it. Never happened before 10.5
  8. I get the feeling this is a non-starter, but... As per the attachment - that dip down to 85bpm feels a little too slow now. I'd like to try some different tempo (and maybe time sig) options here. What I'd like to do, is to smpte-lock all the tempo events, and then change that 85bpm section to find a better tempo. Everything following it would then remain in-sync and still follow all the hitpoints they are scored to. So, for example, I raise that 85bpm section to 90 bpm. That means I probably need another couple of beats at the end of the section to make the timing work. Is there a nice, convenient way of doing this?
  9. Well, you did technically answer the question! Maybe I wasn't clear, but the subtext here was 'if it's possible, how would it be done?'
  10. I use stepfx loads, but I'm specifically after a MIDI fx script to retrigger piano notes.
  11. Some of the factory scripts come close, but not quite: Hold down a chord Script: - for the duration of the held down notes - repeat the chord at an interval (choose between 1/4, 1/8, frequency etc) until the chord is released - for each new repeat, vary the velocity of the notes in the chord, with the ability to set the amount of velocity deviation (vary up, vary down, or vary up and down. by 10%, 20% etc) - choose accents - so notes every 2, 3, 4, 5, etc beats will be louder (choose how much louder - as a relative value or a fixed velocity point). Even better would be a step sequencer to choose the accented beats. - for each repetition, randomise how many notes of the original chord will be triggered, with a slider to set the bias between full (all chord notes) and none (no notes) is this kind of thing doable?
  12. Yes - I've set up a macro in Metagrid which selects the next marker, sets the cycle range, copies the marker name, opens the bounce window, pastes the marker name and then bounces. I'm very happy with that, but it still means I need to be around for each bounce. It just takes 1 second per marker to setup now instead of 15.
  13. Fairly simple - allow us to add regions to groups, and add alternative regions the same way track alternatives are implemented. Region groups would be great when you need to do stuff like prepping certain parts for sheet music printing, or muting/tweaking all of your lead parts if they're not on the same track.
  14. Such a simple idea, and this is why I use reaper now for sound design work. Often on library projects or games, I'll have dozens of regions in a project with different alts or cues. I want a drop-down list in the 'bounce' window that lets me select: "whole project" "cycle length" "markers" The marker option would let me select the first and last markers to bounce (would default to the first and last in the project) and the default filenames would be the names of the markers. This would literally save me days of time on projects.
  15. Yes - after a couple of hours of investigation and swearing I just went with the workaround, but it's a very annoying issue. I've sent a bug report to Apple and crossed my fingers...
