  1. Thank you for your help! Which kind of 'Flex Time' should I select?
  2. Hey there. I am looking for a way to change the speed of the whole project, so that even the audio files (I make EDM, so I have a lot of samples in there) are in the new tempo. I know the Varispeed, but my Mac (M1) isn't strong enough to compute all the things in time. Either way, I know the new tempo, so I do not need Varispeed, but the whole project to be in the desired tempo. I know the "Time and Pitch Machine" of audio files.. But in this way, I would have to change every sample within the 'machine'. And atm I am asking myself, if there isn't a more elegant way to do it.. Thank you in advance vor your help!
  3. What kind of edit? Especially fades.. But also the length of the sample (=region) and other stuff.
  4. Aaaargh... Ok.. That seams to be a design decision, even though I can't find anything to it in the release notes of the latest versions... :/ For me, the cloning functionality was kind of essential.. Ok, now I can copy it, but if I edit one of them, I have to re-edit all the other copies... That changes my workflow quite a lot. :/
  5. Ok, did not notice this retirement.. Thank you for your reply! Why was it retired?? And what is the replacement, or is there a replacement? Copying the region "Kick" "Kick.1" "Kick.2", ... could not be the solution, or?
  6. Hey there. In older versions of Logic it was possible - to create aliases of midi regions by pressing "alt + shift + drag" the region to a new location. This still works! BUT. - it was also possible to clone (same like creating aliases but in relation to audio regions) audio regions as well by "alt + shift + drag" the region. I think, since version 10.7.0 (or earlier?) this functionality seams to be crashed or turned of?!? Why?? Is it a bug? Or is it desired?
  7. That was exact my problem.. Synth was too quit, audio interface too loud. Thank you for your help!
  8. Hey there. I am quite new in recording analog synth the proper way. To get a signal that is loud enough, I have put my preamps of the audio interface (RME FireFace) to a higher level.. But now, in the recording there is a swoosh/noise in the background, that gets very loud when I am using upward compression. So, how to fix this problem? I think, I have to turn down the input level of my audio interface? Right? And then I have to use a preamp plugin to get it louder again within the DAW (I am using Logic)? Or how would you fix this issue? Thank you for your help Edit and P.S.: A noise gate does not solve the problem. It might kill the background swoosh when the synth isn't playing anything. But when the synth plays something, you can hear it again.
  9. Am I wrong, or is the "S(M)exoscope" plugin not an oscilloscope as prompted but a level meter?
  10. Hey there, probably we all know the plugin "S(M)exoscope" from Smartelectronix. But in the meantime, in 2021, it is maybe a bit outdated (I think it is only in 32 bit available). But, for my wondering, there is not really a good successor for it. Or am I wrong? I used it to analyze the transients of my audios, to tweak the compressor the right way. What is your experience in this? Thank you for your help!
  11. That could be, in deed.. How can I measure/determine the latency of that plugin? I only know how to do it (with mousse over) with audio fx plugins. Another strange thing: As I wrote above, I wrote with the support of Arturia and they did the same setup on their side and everything worked as it should... That's why I came up with the idea, that the problem is maybe a physical one, maybe the docking station (where the audio interface is docked in) creates some weird latency.. On Monday I will get an Apple Adapter and can connect the audio interface directly to my Mac.. I am excited if it helps. But, back to your issue.. How can I measure the latency of the plugin?
  12. That's a good idea, but the problem I am facing isn't with the external instrument plugin, but with the polybrute connect one. One idea I just have: I have connected the audio interface 'RME Fireface UC' not directly to my MacBook, but via a 'i-tec Thunderbolt 3 Dock'. Maybe that's the problem? Maybe it is better to connect notebook and audio interface directly with each other, or doesn't it matter??
  13. Hey there. I try to describe you my situation as good as I can. I have a MacBook Pro M1, Arturia PolyBrute synth and a RME Fireface UC as audio interface. I try to record the audio output of my synth in Logic Pro X. To do this, I have two ways: 1) by using the "PolyBrute Connect" plugin (https://www.arturia.com/faq/polybrute/polybrute-pb-connect-overview) in a software instrument track. 2) by using the "External Instrument" plugin of Logic in a software instrument track. In both cases I record the audio via "Input 1-2". So far so good. Now, it becomes strange. If I using the PolyBrute plugin, the audio is recorded earlier than the midi note is played. (If I am using the "External Instrument" plugin, everything is fine): I've tried almost everything: - I have reseted all my settings, for the case I've edited something wired. - I have tried to change the plugin latency delay settings. Nothing worked. (If I change the recording delay, it will also effect the already correct "External Instrument" recording. So I don't think, that is the right way... And: I've did the ping test with the I/O plugin. The result was just 1 sample)... Do you have any suggestions or experience with this case?? I am desperate! P.S.: Here are my settings: P.P.S.: I've wrote with the support of Arturia. They said, that they haven't seen any case like that yet.. And, they tried to rebuilt it on their side, but everything worked just fine. No latency. P.P.P.S.: I even tried another audio interface, the BigKnob Studio+, but this did not change anything...
  14. Hi again! I've tried it again with an totally new and empty project.. And this behavior appeared again. I've made a short screencast video, that you can see here: Is there maybe an option in the Settings I've edited unnoticed or something like that?!? Thanks for your help and patience!!
