  1. Ok. I had already compressed, EQ’d and used SPL transient designer to tighten up the beats (metal drums). I will try your suggestion and tighten the transients more.
  2. I found a similar topic, but no resolution. I’m using ‘Replace or Double Drum Track’ to add samples to my audio kick drum track. I recorded drums with mics to audio files. The kick drum has some fast double kick patterns. The Replace or Double Drum Track only captures every other transient in the fast parts. I tried adjusting the threshold and timing offset but nothing helps. Are there deeper menu settings for this? Is there a better way to create a midi track from an audio track?
  3. I think I found the problem. The project sample rate changed from 48 to 44.1. When I change it back to 48 the project tempo is fine. I have no idea how the sample rate changed.
  4. Flex and Follow is off. I’ll need to test the files in the finder. I have Take tracks, so I’m not really sure which files to test. I was looking at them in the Audio folder.
  5. I can see it and hear it. Project tempo did not change. It’s still 144 Keep. I have not tried playing any of the audio files from the finder yet. I did try moving (copy/paste) the regions to a new project set at 144. That did not fix it. The files show as around 134 bpm using the Smart Tempo analyzer.
  6. I have a project with 19 audio tracks. 1 is an imported stereo scratch track and 18 are recorded drum mics. I used the scratch track to record drums at 144 bpm. Everything was fine. I wanted to group the drum tracks and time align the drum beats to tighten them up. So I made a “Save As” copy first for backup. Somehow my 18 drum tracks have changed to 134 bpm. Original project tempo was set to Keep at 144. Very frustrating. Even the back up copy has done this. How can the tracks tempo just change. And I cant get it back. Also the scratch track aif file has got off tempo different than the drum tracks. I had to reimport it to get back to original tempo. Also, before the Save As, I had grouped the drum tracks (take tracks) and checked Editing and Quantize-Locked.
  7. I’m adding drum recordings to scratch tracked songs. I’m using a template to make a new project with 18 audio tracks to record mic’ed drums. I import the wav file that I’ve bounced from a scratch track project, for the drummer to play along with. Problem is the imported wav file does not align even though all project settings are the same. I have to manually align the region to get it to match the click. I should be able to just align the start of the region to the grid. Maybe I’m not bouncing the wav correctly. I’m doing this for several songs for an album and need the original beats to align perfectly with the new project. But it’s a bit of guesswork since I’m not including drums or click with the scratch track. The scratch tracts include electric guitar, electric bass and vocals recorded in my studio.
  8. Thanks for the great answer. Leave me questioning why room EQ programs usually use pink noise for a flat response. Or a sign wave sweep, which I assume it balanced db across the entire range of frequencies.
  9. Just curious why the pink noise generator EQ slopes down. I put a EQ plugin on the master, and ran pink noise. The EQ of the generated sound is nice and flat but has a definite slope down from low frequency to high. Seems to me the point of pink noise is to have a complete flat response. For using room calibration tool to test your listening position.
  10. I'm having an issue with audio tracks changing when copied to another project. They are recorded drum tracks. I copy the regions from the tracks in one song and paste to same tracks in another song, but when I play back it's all disjointed. A zoom in on the transient shapes shows that the pasted files are very different than the original from the start. I made sure both songs have the same tempo settings. What else can be causing this? I have copy/paste regions many times without having this issue.
