  1. There is only the one mp3 file I imported into the audio files folder and it's still says that it's 16-bit even though I have 24-bit selected in the Recording Preferences. Are you telling me it should have made a copy so there should be a 24-bit mp3 as well as the original 16-bit?
  2. Thanks fellas! I did as you've recommended in terms of importing it but there's no sign of it having been converted. In the audio browser it still says 16-bit. Is that okay?
  3. I've been given a 16-bit mp3 of the rough mix of a song to record my cello part to. If my logic project is 24-bit, do I have to convert the 16-bit mp3 of the song's rough mix to 24-bit? Or will there be no problem recording at 24-bit to a 16-bit mp3? Simple question but I just want to avoid problems. Thanks for any help! Jenji
  4. Your first suggestion did the trick! You're the logic genie. Thank you!
  5. I went to all the trouble to play a cello part on my keyboard to notate it with Logic. But now that I have input the notes with my keyboard and finessed them in the Piano Roll editor, when I go to Score view, there are no notes. There is just a grey screen with the message "Create a MIDI region". The region is created and selected when this message shows. I saw a previous post about this where someone recommended making sure the Link option in the Score view toolbar was set to on. Either way, it doesn't change anything. I've done this previously and had no trouble. I have notation to do for three more pieces so feel quite desperate for help. Any Logic heroes out there? With much gratitude to any helpers out there! 6. Thanks for chiming in, triplet. I discovered that if I change the Audio I/O Output preferences to Stereo Output, that solved my problem. I can ear the panning from my Logic mix.
  7. Thanks, David. But no, the UA Arrow's output is not set to Mono.
  8. Hi there. Thank goodness for forums like this! I'm stumped and will be so grateful if someone can help me move forward with my mix. I'm using Logic Pro X on my Macbook Pro 2018 (High Sierra 10.4.4) I have my UA Arrow selected as both input and output in System Preferences. I can't hear my stereo panning through my speakers that are wired from via my Universal Audio Arrow interface. When I plug my headphones into my Mac's headphone jack, I do hear the panning. How can I make it so that I can mix with my speakers and hear the panning? I've tried Software Monitoring both on and off. No difference. I bet it's something simple that I just am not aware of. Anyone?
