  1. actually i realise this is not a Logic Pro X issue in particular and have got an answer of sorts from toontrack (via manuel editing).
  2. I like the Logic Pro X Upbeat Funk loops (there are 10) and would like to edit them in EZDrummer. I can export them into a folder and open them in EZD but the mapping is wrong (i.e. hi-hat>tom etc). There's a massive number of videos about this operation out there but can't figure it out, if anyone has done this any tips appreciated.
  3. Aw shucks. Would've been nice, but I can live with it. Thanks.
  4. Decades ago I used to use Music Shop, long since discontinued. But in that program you could write patch changes into the piano roll editor, say if you wanted to change your piano patch for a section. There is a similar functionality in Logic Pro X, but I can't get it to work. In the screenshot, I want to change Picked Bass to Fingerstyle Bass for four bars. I have usually just added a track, but I thought it would be neat to be able to change it in the track. I went to the Event Editor and selected Program Change, then entered the appropriate patch change, which you can inspect in the Event List. And you can see the program change in the event list at right. But it doesn't seem to work. It looks like it ought to work but there is no change to the output. (I've reverted to adding a track for the different bass sound, but if I could make this work I'd prefer it.)
  5. D'oh! Thanks again. This project has been on my computer for years, it's got a lot of hidden tracks and so on.
  6. Interesting, but I don't have a flute track that I can see in the original from which that was cloned, nor can I see a flute track in the mixer if I open the track I sent.
  7. I had thought the copy I attached only had one track, namely, piano, so can't see how you can see that - if you wouldn't mind elaborating that thanks!
  8. Thanks! Kind of depressing I didn't know that. Also, I did experiment with activating one of the instruments as Sorround, but then turned it off, but it seems to have activated some Sorround setting, and I can't work out where it's de-activated.
  9. OK herewith. It's only the piano track, as instructed. Thanks! ImaginaryVoicesTroubleShoot.zip
  10. I've got a weird thing happening while trying to finalise a mix. As you can see from the graphic, the volume automation track is set at -1.7dB for the Piano. But as soon as I hit play, the fader drops down to -13.2dB, even though there's apparently nothing to send that command. I tried selecting the track and then Mix>Delete Visible Automation, and even Mix>Delete All Automation and starting again, but it keeps recurring. Can't work out what I'm doing wrong.
  11. Right! Removed all the horn tracks from the summing track, hey presto. I thought it would be something obvious, but didn't think of that! Thanks. Studio Horns look promising to me, I'm interested in small-big-band style arranging.
  12. I'm working with Studio Horns, or at least I was, but for some reason the library strip now looks like this: I just can't work out how I got into that region of the library, or what it does, or how to get out of it. If I enter Studio Horns in the search, it finds nothing. If I click on settings and navigate to Legacy, I can see this: But that doesn't help me, either - it seems a highly truncated version of Logic Pro instruments. Totally lost here, can't figure out how I got into this place or how to get back out. And also, while I'm here, what is it with 'legacy'? What's that about? Thanks
  13. Hi All - this is a concept I've been working on the last week or so. https://soundcloud.com/jonathanshearman/hyper-drive-1 I've run into a strange problem, though. Currently I've set a master fade which ends at 38:1:1:001 (pending addition of some more solos etc.) But if I bounce the track from 1:1:1:001 until the end point, then the drum track drops out. The other percussion (congas and maracas) are still there - but no drums. But if I bounce it to 37, then the drums are there. Weird. I thought it might have something to do with my mix panels - I'm not very advanced at all that stuff - but at the moment, it's got me beat. Anyway, enjoy the tune and thanks for listing.
