  1. That hit me in the feels I do not currently plan on mixing libraries - I like to make a template for each developer - for my workflow, at least, I get in the zone where everything flows easier for me if my brain does not have to switch between libraries - the muscle memory of staying within one developer's orchestra really improves my speed (although, I wish I could somehow improve my creativity lol)
  2. This thread is very timely as I am about to commence making an orchestral template using VSL Synchron libraries According to VSL, their Synchron libraries were recorded in situ and are pre-balanced So, if I were to change the volumes of each instrument within the player, would I not be messing with that balance?
  3. OK, but why does Logic 10.7.5 not automatically color the track header? Am I misremembering that prior versions did this?
  4. Whenever I start a new project and add tracks, Logic does not color any of the tracks (software instrument: green; audio: blue; drummer: yellow) The regions are colored by the track header is not colored I always have to go to configure track header and select "Color bars" I realize that the track setting colors are on a per project basis but I thought that, by default, Logic assigns the green/blue/yellow (which I can change in the display settings) Why would Logic not assign any track header colors at all? Thank you
  5. Hmmmm my Settings (formerly Preferences), still only has 24-bit rather than 32-bit Or, am I misunderstanding something?
  6. I think I was overthinking things If I sum the guitars in a summing stack, would Logic keep them panned L/R in the summing stack?
  7. David - yes, that is what I meant - I suppose I would put the exact same plugin on both channels and set it to post-pan?
  8. I am wondering how I could route the following in a DAW: Guitar 1 hard panned left Guitar 2 hard panned right Inserting a stereo reverb plugin so the left output of the plugin hits guitar 1 and the right output hits guitar 2 Any help would be appreciated - thank you
  9. Do you have any volume automation on the track?
  10. I am learning that I like a much brighter piano sound
  11. So I took 2 piano VST's I have and inserted a MIDI C-F-C-G chord progression on each I am trying to determine if anyone agrees with me as to which one sounds better -- they are both "raw" (no EQ, no compression, no effects, no MIDI CC) and they have been gain-matched
  12. FINAL UPDATE: I am shocked at how this turned out and also disappointed in what it means for sellers and buyers in the future as, apparently, you can basically own a broken piece of gear, order it on Reverb, take the parts you need then claim the gear you ordered was "damaged" or "modded" and Reverb will let you keep the gear and reimburse you (although, they are allowing me to keep the funds as well) - it seems it's a scammer's world out there and the "good guys" are merely along for the ride at the whim of the middle man (Reverb):
