  1. I have recently started utilising the 'Stereo Pan' (I will use the abv SP) effect after using 'Balance' (abv = B) doing minor work previously. I have noticed that after swapping to SP from B my limiter which once limited my sound to -6 db is now going above -6db when moving the stereo field around. Am I going crazy or is this something which is unavoidable as we are adding the sound from the left into the right on top of the signal already there? Hopefully there is a work around from this other than simply limiting a bus and sending the channel to there. Image 1 - In B mode limiting to -6 db Image 2 - In SP mode but central limiting to -6 db Image 3 - In SP mode to left but going over limit -6 db Thank you in advance
  2. It is decribed here, among other procedures troubleshooting rundown. Sometimes resetting the SMC & NV/PRAM does help... Completed the SMC reset before the preferences reset, the pref reset seems to have fixed it but it has lost my 1 setting I use ALL the time. This is the setting where in automation mode if I click on a new parameter on my plugin the automation automatically changes to that so I can easily automate, would you happen to know this setting and its location?
  3. Hi, the reboot and reset didn't fix it Atlas! Triplets, yeah offline bounce caused it to crackle on the audio playback when I listened , any ideas?
  4. Perfect I will give that a go in the AM. Out of curiosity if that doesn’t fix it are you out of ideas ? It’s really bugging me
  5. Mind if I ask what you mean by prefs? Just so I’m sure (also is there a button for this)
  6. I am using the Komplete Audio 2 which doesn't require a driver, seems only on Windows. But I used my Komplete Audio interface to play the generated sine wave at 110Hz without a single crackle which leads me to believe its Logic Pro X. The latest driver for my interface was 1st February and only has a Windows file and its only started happening the last few days sadly
  7. Hi, lately I have started hearing occasional crackles during playback .....happens every few seconds. I have checked my GPU/CPU and that is not even half way and the buffer sizes are large and 1024. It happens on all tracks in the project and I can't seem to avoid it, wondering if anyone has anymore info as this has been working OK for months, have also updated Logic today as I was running out of answers (delayed updating logic from 2 months back). Tested computer on other audio and no crackle, bounced files also give me a crackle Mac info; 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 16 GB Ram 2TB storage with over 1Tb available Project info; I/O buffer = 1024 Threads = 12 Process buffer = large multithreading = playback tracks project sample rate =48kHz
  8. thank you, so copying and moving the project file to a USB should take the 'alts' with it , great news!
  9. Hi, I have recently purchased an external SSD for back up, I am wondering If I move the Logic Pro project files across to my SSD do the Alternates move with them or is that a different series of events that I need to complete? Would be handy if they just moved with the file but I am curious. I have attached what the settings are when I 'Save As' and also an example from the file (so you can see the size etc) Matt
  10. I am a relatively newish user of Logic Pro X. I have been wondering if there is any way of editing the piano roll so that only the notes that are inside a given scale are shown e.g my track is in key C and it only shows ; C D E F G A B and so on... Is this possible ? If not I’m surprised Apple haven’t added this to aid workflow.
  11. At 9:07 he does a similiar type of thing where he copies the MIDI section to repeat again. But on a seperate video he does it where it duplicates to a lower octave. Hope this helps further
  12. I now understand what you mean, but i have seen various videos where they dont drag, I am trying to understand if there is a quicker way of doing it through keyboard without having to drag for work flow efficiency. This was stated in my initial question about the not having to drag, this is doable its just finding a way how to do it.
  13. Hi Drew, Found that before but didnt work for me....after doing the Control C then Control V it just adds another MIDI box where the current locator is. I wanted these to stay within the same MIDI box and just duplicate.
  14. Hi Mate, sadly this it to just move the existing MIDI notes, I am trying to see if i can duplicate the ones that are there are move them an octave leaving the existing ones there (say when creating chords)
  15. Hi, I was wondering...I often see you tubers who talk about tutorials on melodies doing the following in quick succession; - Duplicating a note in the MIDI then instantly lowering the duplicated note down/up an octave within a click of a button. Without copying and dragging the note I am stuck on how they did this. I am using LPX but have tried multiple ways that the internet has provided with no luck. Please help as this makes my work flow alot more efficient. Matt
